UCAB 82-3 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE UNIFORM CODE APPEAIS <br />BOARD OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA GRANTING <br />THE APPEAL OF ALAN KUNSKI, SUZANNE L. <br />KUNSKI, EUGENE EPHRAT AND RUTH EPHRAT <br />CONCERNING PROPERTY LOCATED AT 505 SOUTH <br />MAIN STREET, SANTA ANA, CALIFORNIA, <br />AND RECLASSIFYING SAID PROPERTY FROM THE <br />CLASS II (HIGH RISK) CATEGORY TO THE <br />CLASS III (MEDIUM RISK) CATEGORY UNDER <br />THE CITY'S SEISMIC SAFETY ORDINANCE <br />WHEREAS, on or about February 24, 1981, the City <br />of Santa Ana's Director of Building Safety caused to be sent <br />to Alan Kunski, Suzanne L. Kunski, Eugene Ephrat and Ruth <br />Ephrat ("Appellants" ), as record owners of that certain <br />parcel of real proPerty located at 505 South Main Street <br />lOrange County Assessor's Parcel No. 11-022-10, a Final <br />Notice under Lhe City of santa Ana's Seismic Safety ordinance"i <br />and <br />WHEREAS, APPellants thereafter f j'Ied a timely <br />appeal from such final notice, requesting that their real <br />property be re-classified from the Class II (High Risk) to <br />the Class IIr (Medium Risk) category under the Cityrs <br />Seismic Safety Ordinance [being Article XI, consisting of <br />sections 8-2000 Eo 8-2007, of Chapter 8 of the Santa Ana <br />Municipal Codel ; and <br />a one (1) <br />and <br />WHEREAS, Appellants' real property is improved by <br />story building housing a retail furniture storei <br />WHEREAS, having given public notice as required by <br />Iar1,, the Uniform Code Appeals Board ("Board"), on May 20, <br />1982, held a hearing regarding Appellantsr aPPeal, at lrhich <br />time the Board read and considered a staff rePort and attached <br />exhibits prepared by the City's Director of Planning and <br />Developrnent Services, heard and considered the oral testimony <br />of City staff and Appellants' counsel, and read and considered <br />written evidence submittted by APPeIlants; and <br />WHEREAS, at the conclusion of its public hearing, <br />the Board, by a vote of 6-0 (Board Member Noe being absent) <br />announced its intended decision to grant APPellantsr apPeal <br />and to reclassify Appellants' real ProPerty from the CIass II <br />(Hiqh Risk) to class III (Medium Risk) category under the <br />City's Seisrnic Safety ordinance, and directed the city
