<br />INSTALLATION.
<br />B.REPLACEMENTS: IN THE EVENT OF DAMAGE, IMMEDIATELY REPAIR ALL DAMAGED AND DEFECTIVE WORK TO THE APPROVAL OF THE
<br />ARCHITECT AT NO ADDITIONAL COST TO OWNER.
<br />1.07 JOB CONDITIONS

<br />2.00 PIPE HANGERS
<br />A.HANGERS SHALL BE COMPLETE WITH THREADED STEEL RODS AND VIBRATION ISOLATORS, SOUND AND ELECTROLYSIS ISOLATORS AS
<br />REQUIRED AND HEREINAFTER SPECIFIED. CONCRETE INSERTS SHALL BE FURNISHED AND INSTALLED UNDER THIS SECTION.
<br />B.2-1/2 INCHES AND SMALLER: GRINNELL 104 OR APPROVED EQUAL.
<br />C.3 INCHES AND LARGER: GRINNELL 260.
<br />D.CONCRETE INSERTS: GRINNELL 280.
<br />2.01 VIBRATION ISOLATION
<br />A.PROVIDE VIBRATION ISOLATION EQUIPMENT FOR ALL MECHANICAL EQUIPMENT AND PIPING AS SPECIFIED HEREIN AND INDICATED ON THE
<br />DRAWINGS. THE VIBRATION ISOLATION SYSTEM SHALL BE INSTALLED IN A MANNER TO PREVENT THE TRANSMISSION OF VIBRATION TO THE
<br />STRUCTURE. NO RIGID CONNECTIONS BETWEEN ROTATING OR OSCILLATING EQUIPMENT OR PIPING AND THE BUILDING WILL BE
<br />PERMITTED.
<br />B.GENERAL REQUIREMENTS:
<br />1.VIBRATION ISOLATION MANUFACTURER SHALL FURNISH WRITTEN INSTRUCTIONS COVERING THE INSTALLATION AND ADJUSTMENT OF
<br />ALL ISOLATORS. THE MANUFACTURER SHALL REPLACE ANY ISOLATION THAT HAS BEEN IMPROPERLY SIZED.
<br />2.MECHANICAL SUBCONTRACTOR SHALL COORDINATE HIS WORK WITH THE OTHER TRADES. CONTRACTOR FOLLOWING HIM, SUCH AS
<br />PLASTERING OR ELECTRICAL, SHALL BE NOTIFIED AND INSTRUCTED TO AVOID ANY CONTACT WITH HIS INSTALLATION THAT WOULD
<br />REDUCE THE EFFECTIVENESS OF THE SYSTEM.
<br />3.INSPECTIONS: VIBRATION ISOLATION MANUFACTURER SHALL MAKE AN INSPECTION OF THE VIBRATION INSTALLATION, AND INFORM THE
<br />CONTRACTOR IN WRITING OF ANY NECESSARY CORRECTIONS AND/OR ADJUSTMENTS.
<br />4.VIBRATION ISOLATION SHALL BE MANUFACTURED BY A SINGLE MANUFACTURER. ALL ISOLATION SHALL BE IN STRICT ACCORDANCE
<br />WITH THE FOLLOWING SPECIFICATIONS AND MANUFACTURED BY M.W. SAUSSE AND CO., INC. THE ISOLATION MANUFACTURER SHALL
<br />INCLUDE IN THE SUBMITTAL THE FOLLOWING INFORMATION:
<br />A.TYPE OF ISOLATOR.
<br />B.DEFLECTION.
<br />C.FREE OR UNLOADED HEIGHT.
<br />D.ALL PHYSICAL CHARACTERISTICS OF SPRINGS USED.
<br />E.SIZE OF STRUCTURAL MEMBERS.
<br />F.EFFICIENCY CALCULATIONS.
<br />G.ANY OTHER PERTINENT INFORMATION TO MAKE THE SUBMITTAL COMPLETE.
<br />C.TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS:
<br />1.ISOLATORS SHALL BE DESIGNED OR TREATED FOR RESISTANCE TO CORROSION. STRUCTURAL STEEL BASES SHALL BE CLEANED OF
<br />WELDING SLAG AND PAINTED WITH PRIMER AND FINISH COAT. ALL NUTS, BOLTS AND WASHERS SHALL BE ZINC-ELECTROPLATED.
<br />2.ALL EQUIPMENT SHALL BE EQUIPPED WITH SEISMIC RESTRAINTS IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE REQUIREMENTS OF ALL GOVERNING
<br />AGENCIES. THESE RESTRAINTS SHALL BE DESIGNED AND SUPPLIED BY THE VIBRATION ISOLATION MANUFACTURER. SUSPENDED
<br />EQUIPMENT AND PIPING SHALL BE RESTRAINED BY STEEL CABLE. THIS CABLE AND THE METHOD OF INSTALLATION SHALL BE THE
<br />RESPONSIBILITY OF THE MECHANICAL CONTRACTOR. THE CABLE RESTRAINTS SHALL BE INSTALLED IN SUCH A MANNER AS TO NOT
<br />SHORT CIRCUIT THE VIBRATION ISOLATION. THE CONTRACTOR SHALL SUBMIT DETAILS FOR APPROVAL.
<br />2.02 DAMPERS
<br />A.FIRE DAMPERS: FUSIBLE LINK OUT OF AIRSTREAM TYPE MANUFACTURED IN ACCORDANCE WITH REQUIREMENTS OF STATE FIRE MARSHAL

<br />A.COOK, ACW-B OF SIZES AND CAPACITIES INDICATED ON THE PLANS.
<br />B.FAN SHALL BE A SPUN ALUMINUM, ROOF MOUNTED, BELT DRIVEN, HORIZONTAL CENTRIFUGAL EXHAUST VENTILATOR.
<br />C.FAN SHALL BE MANUFACTURED AT AN ISO 9001 CERTIFIED FACILITY. FAN SHALL BE LISTED BY UNDERWRITERS LABORATORIES (UL 705).
<br />FAN SHALL BEAR THE AMCA CERTIFIED RATINGS SEAL FOR SOUND AND AIR PERFORMANCE.
<br />D.THE FAN SHALL BE OF BOLTED AND WELDED CONSTRUCTION UTILIZING CORROSION RESISTANT FASTENERS. THE SPUN ALUMINUM

<br />CONSTRUCTION SHALL BE HEAVY DUTY REGREASABLE BALL TYPE IN A CAST-IRON PILLOW BLOCK HOUSING SELECTED FOR A MINIMUM L50
<br />LIFE IN EXCESS OF 200,000 HOURS AT MAXIMUM CATALOGED OPERATING SPEED.
<br />H.BELTS AND DRIVES: BELTS SHALL BE OIL AND HEAT RESISTANT, NON-STATIC TYPE. DRIVES SHALL BE PRECISION MACHINED CAST-IRON
<br />TYPE, KEYED AND SECURELY ATTACHED TO THE WHEEL AND MOTOR SHAFTS. DRIVES SHALL BE SIZED FOR 150 PERCENT OF THE
<br />INSTALLED MOTOR HORSEPOWER. THE VARIABLE PITCH MOTOR DRIVE MUST BE FACTORY SET TO THE SPECIFIED FAN RPM.
<br />2.04 HVAC INSTRUMENTATION AND CONTROLS
<br />A.CONTRACTOR SHALL FAMILIARIZE THEMSELF WITH THE EXISTING CONTROLS SYSTEM AT THE JOB SITE PRIOR TO PROPOSAL OF WORK TO
<br />ASSURE THAT SCOPE IS ADEQUATELY UNDERSTOOD.
<br />B.DIRECT DIGITAL CONTROLS:
<br />1.NEW FANS AND UNITARY EQUIPMENT - NEW AND REMODELED EQUIPMENT SHALL HAVE STANDALONE NEW DDC CONTROLS SYSTEMS
<br />SUBMIT SAMPLE OF THERMOSTAT TO ARCHITECT FOR APPROVAL.
<br />C.ELECTRIC CONTROLS:
<br />1.NEW FANS AND UNITARY EQUIPMENT - NEW AND EQUIPMENT SHALL BE TIED INTO ELECTRIC CONTROLS SYSTEMS IN A MANNER TO
<br />MATCH THE EXISTING. INCLUDE ALL RECONFIGURATION OF THE EXISTING CONTROLS BOARDS. WHERE NEEDED, TIME CLOCK AND
<br />ELECTRIC CONTROLS SHALL BE EXPANDED TO ACCOMMODATE ADDITIONAL POINTS. THERMOSTATS SHALL MATCH EXISTING. SUBMIT
<br />SAMPLE OF THERMOSTAT TO ARCHITECT FOR APPROVAL.
<br />PART 3-EXECUTION
<br />3.01 STATEMENT
<br />A.ALL HEATING, VENTILATION AND AIR CONDITIONING SHALL BE INSTALLED IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE REQUIREMENTS OF ALL GOVERNING
<br />AUTHORITIES.
<br />3.02 LOCATIONS AND ACCESSIBILITY
<br />A.DRAWINGS INDICATE DESIRED LOCATION AND ARRANGEMENT OF PIPING, DUCTWORK, EQUIPMENT AND OTHER ITEMS, AND ARE TO BE
<br />FOLLOWED AS CLOSELY AS POSSIBLE. ALL OFFSETS AND INTERFERENCES MAY NOT BE INDICATED DUE TO THE SCALE OF THE DRAWINGS.
<br />COORDINATE WORK WITH ALL OTHER TRADES.

<br />3.06 HANGERS AND SUPPORTS
<br />A.HOLD HORIZONTAL PIPE RUNS FIRMLY IN PLACE USING APPROVED STEEL AND IRON HANGERS, SUPPORTS, AND/OR PIPE RESTS, UNLESS
<br />OTHERWISE INDICATED. SUSPEND HANGER RODS FROM CONCRETE INSERTS OR FROM APPROVED BRACKETS, CLAMPS OR CLIPS. HANG

<br />F.VERIFICATION OF CONDITIONS: PRIOR TO TESTING AND BALANCING, BALANCING CONTRACTOR SHALL INSPECT EQUIPMENT AND MATERIALS
<br />TO ASSURE THAT ALL BALANCING OPERATIONS CAN BE PERFORMED. BALANCE SUBCONTRACTOR SHALL ARRANGE WITH HVAC
<br />CONTRACTOR AND ELECTRICAL CONTRACTOR FOR SATISFACTORY CORRECTION OF ALL DEFECTS IN WORKMANSHIP AND/OR MATERIAL
<br />THAT COULD AFFECT THE WORK SPECIFIED HEREIN.
<br />G.SYSTEM OPERATION: CONTRACTOR SHALL COORDINATE WITH HVAC SPECIFICATIONS AND CONTROLS SPECIFICATIONS AND CONTRACTORS
<br />TO HAVE ALL PARTS OF SYSTEMS IN FULL OPERATION AND SHALL CONTINUE THE OPERATION OF SAME DURING EACH WORKING DAY OF

<br />AND SHALL BE CAPABLE OF OPERATING THE HEATING AND COOLING IN SEQUENCE. THERMOSTATS SHALL BE ADJUSTABLE TO PROVIDE A
<br />TEMPERATURE RANGE OF 5 DEGREES BETWEEN FULL HEATING AND FULL COOLING BEING SUPPLIED. TEMPERATURE CONTROL SYSTEM
