The following is our
response to the comments provided by the plan review, the numbers below correspond with
the comment numbers provided in the city comment list:
COMMENTS:
1.Comment: Is this 125A subpanel supplying the ADU? Show Details.
Response: Yes!, the 125A sub-panel is supplying the ADU.
2.Comment: There is already a service meter upgrade permit in play. Permit
#20182612 Issued 4/24/24. There cannot be another Service meter as a part of this
project as proposed. You must reflect the current service equipment being installed
as a part of this design.
Response: We revised the MSP to the existing one. Refer to its m leaders on PV-1.0 and
in line diagram E-1.0.
3.Comment: There can only be ONE power source attached to the main bus per the
120% rule CEC 705.12(B)(3)(2). Combine the backfeed sources together in a
separate panel with their own OCPD breakers.
Response: We've removed the mentioned connection, combined the existing and new
solar using a load center, and fed them to the enphase controller. Refer to E-1.0 for
details.
4.Comment: This is incorrect. You must also include the ESS backup power sources.
The total available backfeed current for the proposed project is 92.94A. The PV
system provides 40.84A and the 2 ESS units total [(5000 / 240) x (2) x (1.25)] =
52.1A. The existing 20A PV backfeed is added to create a total backfeed on the
225A bus of 112.94A. Redesign the system to keep the total backfeed current at 70A
or less for code compliance.
Response: We've removed the m leader and added a note for the PCS-controlled current
setting with value. Refer to E-1.0 for details.
Note: Plans reflect a change in equipment from Tesla to Enphase Batteries
and Gateway. The responses below correlate with the city corrections
requested and the new version plans where applicable.
2050 W Martha Ln
9/16/2024
