<br />15.CONTRACTOR SHALL VERIFY AND COORDINATE LOCATION OF ALL PLUMBING LINES WITH
<br />DUCTWORK, FIRE PROTECTION AND ELECTRICAL SERVICES. VERIFY WITH GENERAL
<br />CONTRACTOR BEFORE BEGINNING WORK.
<br />16.THE INSTALLATION OF ALL VALVES, UNIONS, THERMOMETERS, GAUGES, OR OTHER
<br />INDICATING RECORDING EQUIPMENT AND SPECIALTIES REQUIRING FREQUENT READING,
<br />REPAIRS, ADJUSTMENT, INSPECTION, REMOVAL OR REPLACEMENT SHALL BE
<br />CONVENIENTLY AND ACCESSIBLY LOCATED WITH REFERENCE TO THE FINISHED

<br />17.WASTE PIPING UNDER SLAB SHALL BE A MINIMUM OF 2" DIAMETER.

<br />28.IN ACCORDANCE WITH NFPA 13 ALL PENETRATIONS (PIPE, DUCTWORK, CONDUIT, ETC.)
<br />PASSING THROUGH CONCRETE SLABS SHALL BE INSTALLED WITH ONE INCH CLEARANCE
<br />ON ALL SIDES FOR PENETRATIONS THREE INCHES IN DIAMETER OR SMALLER AND WITH

<br />PLUMBING - PIPING SYSTEMS
<br />1.ALL PLUMBING WORK IS TO BE DONE IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE
<br />REQUIREMENTS OF THE 2015 INTERNATIONAL PLUMBING CODE AND LOCAL
<br />AMENDMENTS.
<br />2.THE CONTRACTOR SHALL COORDINATE WITH ALL STATE AND LOCAL BUILDING
<br />REGULATION AGENCIES AND UTILITY COMPANY(S) IN THE PROCUREMENT OF
<br />AND PAYMENT OF ALL PERMITS, LICENSES, FEES AND CHARGES REQUIRED
<br />FOR THE PERFORMANCE OF THE WORK
<br />3.THE CONTRACTOR IS RESPONSIBLE FOR ALL FEES AND DIRECT EXPENSES

<br />4.PIPING MATERIAL SHALL BE AS CALLED FOR IN THE SPECIFICATIONS OR AS

<br />5.VALVES ON WATER LINES SHALL BE TWO PIECE BRONZE BALL VALVES. DO
<br />NOT SUBSTITUTE GATE OR GLOBE VALVES. VALVES SHALL BE FULL PORT, THE
<br />SAME SIZE AS THEIR INLET PIPING.
<br />6.ALL PLUMBING FIXTURES ARE TO BE FURNISHED COMPLETE WITH
<br />NECESSARY STOPS, TRAPS, TAILPIECES, TRIM, SHUT-OFF VALVES, BFP, ETC,
<br />EVEN IF NOT SHOWN IN THE DRAWINGS. SINKS SHALL HAVE A SLIP JOINT
<br />P-TRAP.
<br />7.THE CONTRACTOR SHALL COOPERATE AND COORDINATE HIS WORK WITH THE
<br />WORK OF OTHER SUB-CONTRACTORS ON THE PROJECT.
<br />8.THE CONTRACTOR SHALL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR INSTALLING A COMPLETE
<br />AND FUNCTIONAL SYSTEM IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE INTENT OF THE PLANS,
<br />WHETHER OR NOT EVERY ELEMENT THEREOF IS SPECIFICALLY CALLED OUT.
<br />9.DO NOT INSTALL CAPPED AIR CHAMBERS AT FIXTURES. INSTALL WATER
<br />HAMMER ARRESTERS AS SHOWN ON DETAIL 10/P400, AND AT THE END OF
<br />EVERY WATER LINE BRANCH EVEN IF NOT SHOWN ON PLANS. ARRESTERS

<br />10.PLUMBING PIPING SHALL NOT BE INSTALLED ABOVE ELECTRICAL PANELS.

<br />12.CONTRACTOR SHALL PROVIDE ONE YEAR WARRANTY ON ALL WORK

<br />14.PLUMBING SUB-CONTRACTOR SHALL INFORM THE ELECTRICAL

<br />PLUMBING EQUIPMENT TO BE INSTALLED AND ENSURE THAT THE PLUMBING

<br />15.IT IS THE CONTRACTOR'S RESPONSIBILITY TO ROUTE ALL WATER PIPING
<br />AROUND SPACES WITH TEMPERATURES BELOW FREEZING (i.e. ABOVE
<br />CEILING SPACES, CHASES, EXTERIOR WALLS, ETC.). IF FREEZING OF ANY
<br />WATER PIPING OCCURS IT SHALL BE THIS CONTRACTOR'S RESPONSIBILITY TO
<br />REPAIR THE PIPING THRU A NON-FREEZING SPACE TO THE
<br />FIXTURE/APPLIANCE ORIGINALLY SERVED BY THE FROZEN PIPING.
<br />16.ALL CAULKING ON BUILDING PENETRATIONS SHALL BE ELASTOMERIC
<br />POLYURETHANE (NO EXCEPTIONS) EQUAL TO "VULKEM" ANY CONTRACTOR
<br />WHO USES SILICONE OR ANY OTHER CAULKING WILL BE REQUIRED TO

<br />FIXTURES, APPLIANCES OR DEVICES, PROVISIONS SHALL BE MADE TO PREVENT UNDESIRED FLOW BETWEEN SUCH PIPING
<br />SYSTEMS.
<br />2.LAVATORY FAUCETS SHALL BE OF THE METERING TYPE WHEN LOCATED IN THE FOLLOWING PUBLIC RESTROOMS:
<br />2.1.IN ALL OCCUPANCIES IN RESTROOMS THAT HAVE SIX OR MORE LAVATORIES.
<br />2.2.IN SCHOOL OCCUPANCIES IN STUDENT-USE RESTROOMS

<br />3.THE FIXTURE SUPPLY PIPE SHALL TERMINATE NOT MORE THAN 36 INCHES FROM THE POINT OF CONNECTION TO THE
<br />FIXTURE. A REDUCED-SIZE FLEXIBLE WATER CONNECTOR INSTALLED BETWEEN THE SUPPLY PIPE AND THE FIXTURE SHALL
<br />BE OF AN APPROVED TYPE. THE SUPPLY PIPE SHALL EXTEND TO THE FLOOR OR WALL ADJACENT TO THE FIXTURE.
<br />4.WHERE WATER PRESSURE WITHIN A BUILDING EXCEEDS 80 PSI STATIC, AN APPROVED WATER PRESSURE-REDUCING VALVE
<br />CONFORMING TO ASSE 1003 OR CSA B356 WITH STRAINER SHALL BE INSTALLED TO REDUCE THE PRESSURE IN THE WATER
<br />DISTRIBUTION PIPING TO NOT GREATER THAN 80 PSI STATIC.
<br />4.1.THE PRESSURE-REDUCING VALVE SHALL BE DESIGNED TO REMAIN OPEN TO PERMIT UNINTERRUPTED WATER FLOW IN
<br />CASE OF VALVE FAILURE.
<br />5.A WATER-HAMMER ARRESTOR SHALL BE INSTALLED WHERE QUICK-CLOSING VALVES AND METALLIC PIPING ARE USED. NOT
<br />REQUIRED WHERE PLASTIC PIPE IS USED FOR WATER DISTRIBUTION PIPING.
<br />6.PIPE AND PIPE FITTINGS, INCLUDING VALVES AND FAUCETS, UTILIZED IN THE WATER SUPPLY SYSTEM SHALL HAVE NOT

<br />6.1.PIPE, PIPE FITTINGS, JOINTS, VALVES, FAUCETS AND FIXTURE FITTINGS UTILIZED TO SUPPLY WATER FOR DRINKING OR
