Hickory Street GE24033 <br />Santa Ana, CA May 21, 2024 <br /> <br />Page 5 of 14 <br />GEOMAX Engineering, Inc. <br /> <br /> <br />FIELD EXPLORATION <br />On April 26, 2024, three exploratory borings were dug with hand-held tools to a <br />maximum depth of 8 feet. The earth materials encountered were logged and classified <br />using the visual and tactile field identification procedures of the Unified Soil <br />Classification System. Undisturbed 2.5-inch diameter core samples were obtained for <br />laboratory testing. The earth materials encountered are described in the Earth Materials <br />Section and on the logs of the borings included in the Appendix. The locations of the <br />exploratory sites are shown on Plate 1. <br /> <br /> EARTH MATERIALS <br />The earth materials encountered in the exploratory locations entirely consist of <br />native sandy clays which are moist to slightly moist, stiff to very stiff and light to dark <br />brown. <br /> The earth materials encountered are described graphically on the logs of the <br />borings in the Appendix (Plates 2 thru 4). <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />1022 S Hickory St <br />1/9/2025
