DEMOLITION FLOOR PLAN NOTES <br />CONTRACTOR NOTE: BIDDERS, BEFORE SUBMITTING PROPOSALS, SHALL VISIT <br />AND CAREFULLY EXAMINE THE AREA AFFECTED BY THIS WORK TO FAMILIARIZE <br />THEMSELVES WITH THE EXISTING CONDITIONS AND THE DIFFICULTIES THAT WILL <br />ATTEND THE EXECUTION OF THIS WORK. SUBMISSIONS OF A PROPOSAL WILL BE <br />CONSTRUED AS EVIDENCE THAT SUCH EXAMINATION HAS BEEN MADE IN AN <br />ATTEMPT TO OBSERVE DIFFICULTIES THAT WOULD BE ENCOUNTERED ONLY IF <br />SUCH AN EXAMINATION HAD BEEN MADE. <br />A. <br />CONTRACTOR SHALL TAKE ALL PRECAUTIONS DURING DEMOLITION WORK SO AS <br />NOT TO CAUSE ANY DAMAGE TO EXISTING WORK TO REMAIN. <br />B. <br />BEFORE ANY REMOVAL WORK IS STARTED, ELECTRICAL CONTRACTOR SHALL <br />VERIFY THAT SERVICE HAS BEEN CUT TO THAT AREA EXCEPT AS NOTED BELOW. <br />C. <br />CONTRACTOR SHALL COORDINATE HIS WORK WITH THAT OF THE MECHANICAL <br />AND ELECTRICAL SUBCONTRACTORS BEFORE WORK IS STARTED. <br />D. <br />REMOVE EXISTING PARTITIONS WHERE INDICATED ON PLANS AND REQUIRED BY <br />FIELD CONDITIONS. <br />E. <br />CONTRACTOR NOTE THAT ALL EXISTING CARPETING, BASE AND ALL OTHER <br />FINISHES ARE TO BE REMOVED, UNLESS OTHERWISE NOTED. <br />F. <br />CONTRACTOR SHALL REMOVE ALL DEBRIS FROM BUILDING AND SITE AT THE END <br />OF EACH DAY. ACCUMULATION OF RUBBISH SHALL NOT BE PERMITTED. <br />SPRINKLE ALL WORK TO LAY OUT SO IT DOES NOT BECOME A NUISANCE TO <br />OTHERS AT WORK. <br />G. <br />AT NO TIME SHOULD THE CONTRACTOR ALLOW THE DEMOLITION WORK OR <br />STORAGE OF DEBRIS TO CAUSE INTERFERENCE WITH ANY REQUIRED MEANS OF <br />EGRESS OR CAUSE A HAZARDOUS CONDITION. <br />H. <br />CONTRACTOR NOTE THAT ACOUSTIC TILE AND GRID CEILING IS TO REMAIN <br />UNLESS OTHERWISE NOTED OR REQUIRED BY THESE DRAWINGS, CEILING LIGHTS, <br />DIFFUSERS, TILE, ETC., WILL BE MODIFIED OR ALTERED AS REQUIRED BY NEW <br />FLOOR PLAN. ALL COMPONENTS IN ACCEPTABLE CONDITION ARE TO BE REUSED. <br />I. <br />MAINTAIN AT ALL TIMES THE EMERGENCY LIGHTING THROUGHOUT THE BUILDING <br />DURING DEMOLITION WORK, AS WELL AS RECONSTRUCTION WORK. PROVIDE ALL <br />NECESSARY TEMPORARY LIGHTING, PARTITIONS, DUST COVERS, DROP COVERS, <br />ETC. <br />J. <br />COORDINATE WITH CONTRACTOR FOR DEMOLITION WORK AND DISCONNECT LINE <br />END OF CONDUCTORS WHICH ARE DIRECTLY AFFECTED BY DEMOLITION OR <br />WHICH FEED EQUIPMENT. <br />K. <br />CUT, CAP AND FLUSH ALL ABANDONED STUBS, AND PROVIDE REQUIRED <br />PATCHING. PROVIDE ABANDONED OUTLETS WITH BLANK COVER. <br />L. <br />PROVIDE BOX AND SPLICE WIRES WHERE IT IS REQUIRED TO MAINTAIN <br />CONTINUITY OF CIRCUITS OR REMOVE WIRING AND SPLICE WIRE AT NEAREST <br />ACTIVE BOX FROM OUTLETS WHICH HAVE BEEN TERMINATED. <br />M. <br />COORDINATE ALL WORK, SCHEDULING, ETC., WITH BUILDING OWNER.N. <br />INCLUDE IN BID ALL DEMOLITION WORK AS REQUIRED TO COMPLETE ALL NEW <br />WORK AS DELINEATED BY ARCHITECTURAL AND ENGINEERING DRAWINGS <br />WHETHER SHOWN ON DRAWINGS OR NOT I.E.; COORDINATION OF ALL <br />SUBCONTRACTORS WORK, ELECTRICAL, PLUMBING, HVAC, CUTTING, PATCHING, <br />ETC. <br />O. <br />CUT ALL EXISTING WALLS/PARTITIONS ETC., AS REQUIRED FOR ALL ELECTRICAL, <br />HVAC, PLUMBING AND SPRINKLER WORK, INCLUDE ALL PATCHING AND <br />REFINISHING. <br />P. <br />CONTRACTOR IS TO REMOVE ALL MISCELLANEOUS ATTACHED ITEMS, BOARDS, <br />SCREENS, TV'S, ETC.
