<br />WITH GENERAL CONTRACTOR. ALL ATTACHMENTS TO STEEL BAR JOISTS, TRUSSES, OR JOIST GIRDERS

<br />56. MECHANICAL EQUIPMENT, DUCTWORK, AND PIPING SHALL NOT BE SUPPORTED FROM METAL DECK.
<br />57. ALL ROOF MOUNTED EQUIPMENT CURBS FOR EQUIPMENT PROVIDED BY THE MECHANICAL CONTRACTOR
<br />SHALL BE FURNISHED BY THE MECHANICAL CONTRACTOR AND INSTALLED BY THE GENERAL CONTRACTOR.
<br />58. LOCATIONS AND SIZES OF ALL FLOOR, WALL, AND ROOF OPENINGS SHALL BE COORDINATED WITH ALL OTHER
<br />TRADES INVOLVED.
<br />59. ALL PENETRATIONS THROUGH FIRE AND SMOKE RATED WALLS DUE TO DUCTWORK, PIPING, CONDUIT, ETC.,
<br />SHALL BE FIRE AND SMOKE STOPPED WITH A UL APPROVED SEALANT SYSTEM.
<br />60. MECHANICAL DUCT PENETRATIONS OF A NON-FIRE RESISTANCE RATED FLOOR ASSEMBLY SHALL BE
<br />PROTECTED WITH A SHAFT ASSEMBLY IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE BUILDING CODE. OR, WHEN THE DUCT
<br />CONNECTS NOT MORE THAN TWO STORIES, THE ANNULAR SPACE AROUND THE PENETRATING DUCT MUST
<br />BE MATERIAL THAT RESISTS THE FREE PASSAGE OF FLAME AND PRODUCTS OF CONSTRUCTION.
<br />61. ALL AIR CONDITIONING CONDENSATE DRAIN LINES FROM EACH AIR HANDLING UNIT AND ROOFTOP UNIT
<br />SHALL BE PIPED FULL SIZE OF THE UNIT DRAIN OUTLET, WITH "P" TRAP, AND PIPED TO NEAREST DRAIN. SEE
<br />DETAILS SHOWN ON THE DRAWINGS OR THE CONTRACT SPECIFICATIONS FOR DEPTH OF AIR CONDITIONING
<br />CONDENSATE TRAP.
<br />62. PROVIDE 120 VOLT ELECTRICAL OUTLETS WITHIN 25 FEET (8 M) OF ALL MECHANICAL EQUIPMENT.
<br />63. SIZING OF THE GAS FIRED CATEGORY 1 APPLIANCE VENTING SYSTEMS SHALL BE IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE
<br />REQUIREMENTS OF THE MECHANICAL CODE AS APPLICABLE TO THE TYPE INSTALLATION.
<br />64. EQUIPMENT AND APPLIANCES SHALL BE ACCESSIBLE FOR SERVICE, INSPECTION, REPAIR AND REPLACEMENT
<br />WITHOUT REMOVING PERMANENT CONSTRUCTION. SUFFICIENT CLEARANCE SHALL BE MAINTAINED TO
<br />PERMIT CLEANING, REPLACEMENT OF FILTERS, BLOWERS, MOTORS CONTROLS AND LUBRICATION OF
<br />MOVING PARTS. MINIMUM OF 30 INCHES (750 MM) OF CLEARANCE IN DEPTH WIDTH AND HEIGHT SHALL BE

<br />65. PERMANENT LIGHTING FIXTURES SHALL BE INSTALLED FOR ALL EQUIPMENT AND APPLIANCES INSTALLED
<br />ABOVE PERMANENTLY CONSTRUCTED CEILING. CONTROL OF THE LIGHT FIXTURES SHALL BE PROVIDED AT
<br />THE ACCESS ENTRANCE.
<br />66. ALL TESTS SHALL BE COMPLETED BEFORE ANY MECHANICAL EQUIPMENT OR PIPING INSULATION IS APPLIED.
<br />67. BALANCE AIR FLOW AT ALL AIR INLETS AND OUTLETS TO AIR QUANTITIES SHOWN. MECHANICAL
<br />CONTRACTOR SHALL PROVIDE MOTORS, PULLEYS AND BELTS AS REQUIRED TO ACCOMMODATE THE
<br />REQUIRED AIR FLOWS. BALANCE ALL WATER FLOWS TO COILS AND MECHANICAL EQUIPMENT TO VALUES

<br />69. RESTORE ALL DAMAGE RESULTING FROM YOUR WORK AND LEAVE PREMISES IN CLEAN CONDITION WHEN
<br />FINISHED WITH WORK.
<br />70. GUARANTEE ALL WORK AND MATERIALS FOR ONE YEAR (MINIMUM) FROM DATE OF CERTIFICATE OF
<br />OCCUPANCY.
<br />71. AT COMPLETION OF CONSTRUCTION PROVIDE AS-BUILT MARK-UPS AND COPIES OF BOUND OPERATIONS AND

<br />72. A COPY OF THE MANUFACTURERS INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS SHALL BE PROVIDED AT THE LOCATION OF

<br />73. AT THE TIME OF ROUGH INSTALLATION AND DURING STORAGE ON THE CONSTRUCTION SITE UNTIL FINAL
<br />STARTUP OF THE HEATING, COOLING AND VENTILATING EQUIPMENT, ALL DUCT AND OTHER RELATED AIR
<br />DISTRIBUTION COMPONENT OPENINGS SHALL BE COVERED WITH TAPE, PLASTIC, SHEETMETAL OR OTHER
<br />METHODS ACCEPTABLE TO THE ENFORCING AGENCY TO REDUCE THE AMOUNT OF DUST, WATER AND
<br />DEBRIS WHICH MAY ENTER THE SYSTEM.
<br />MECHANICAL - GENERAL NOTES
<br />1. CONTRACT DOCUMENT DRAWINGS ARE DIAGRAMMATIC AND ARE INTENDED TO CONVEY SCOPE AND
<br />GENERAL ARRANGEMENT ONLY. DO NOT SCALE FOR MATERIAL QUANTITIES. ALL SCALING SHOULD BE

<br />CONTRACTOR SHALL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR ALL CUTTING AND PATCHING RELATED TO HIS WORK.
<br />8. OBTAIN WRITTEN PERMISSION OF STRUCTURAL ENGINEER BEFORE PROCEEDING WITH ANY CUTTING OR
<br />PATCHING OF STRUCTURAL SYSTEMS. DO NOT CUT ROOF FRAMING.
<br />9. REFER TO STRUCTURAL DESIGN FOR SEISMIC ATTACHMENT REQUIREMENTS PER THE BUILDING CODE. ALL

<br />14. ALL SUPPLY, RETURN AND EXHAUST AIR DUCTWORK SHALL BE GALVANIZED SHEET METAL IN ACCORDANCE
<br />WITH MECHANICAL CODE, SMACNA HVAC DUCT CONSTRUCTION STANDARDS AND ASHRAE STANDARDS.
<br />DUCT GAUGE AND CONSTRUCTION SHALL BE SELECTED AT 1.5 TIMES THE DESIGN FAN SUPPLY STATIC.
<br />INSTALL SINGLE THICKNESS TURNING VANES AT EACH RECTANGULAR ELBOW OR PROVIDE 1.5X RADIUSED
<br />ELBOWS.
<br />15. DIMENSIONS AND SHAPE OF THE DUCT MAY BE ALTERED, AS LONG AS THE SAME AIR VELOCITY AND FLOW
<br />RATE ARE MAINTAINED, TO AVOID INTERFERENCES AND MAINTAIN ADEQUATE CLEARANCES.
<br />16. ALL DUCTWORK DIMENSIONS, AS SHOWN ON THE DRAWINGS, ARE INTERNAL CLEAR DIMENSIONS AND DUCT
<br />SIZE SHALL BE INCREASED TO COMPENSATE FOR DUCT LINING THICKNESS.
<br />17. SEAL ALL DUCT JOINTS, INCLUDING LONGITUDINAL JOINTS, WITH WATER BASED SEALANT. MAXIMUM
