Round 1 Bowling and Amusement 12/09/2024 Paradigm Design <br />Main Place Mall Expansion Grand Rapids, MI <br />Santa Ana, California <br />Project #2309147GR <br />ALTERATION PROJECT PROCEDURES 01 3516 - 2 <br />ed. 2023-09-22 <br />K.Retain: To keep existing items that are not to be removed or dismantled. <br />L.Strip: To remove existing finish down to base material unless otherwise indicated. <br />1.4 COORDINATION <br />A.Alteration Work Sub schedule: A construction schedule coordinating the sequencing and scheduling of <br />alteration work for entire Project, including each activity to be performed, and based on Contractor's <br />Construction Schedule. Secure time commitments for performing critical construction activities from <br />separate entities responsible for alteration work. <br />1.Schedule construction operations in sequence required to obtain best Work results. <br />2.Coordinate sequence of alteration work activities to accommodate the following: <br />a.Landlord's continuing occupancy of portions of existing building. <br />b.Tenant's partial occupancy of completed Work. <br />c.Other known work in progress. <br />d.Tests and inspections. <br />3.Detail sequence of alteration work, with start and end dates. <br />4.Utility Services: Indicate how long utility services will be interrupted. Coordinate shutoff, <br />capping, and continuation of utility services. <br />5.Use of elevator and stairs. <br />6.Equipment Data: List gross loaded weight, axle-load distribution, and wheel-base dimension data <br />for mobile and heavy equipment proposed for use in existing structure. Do not use such <br />equipment without certification from Contractor's professional engineer that the structure can <br />support the imposed loadings without damage. <br />B.Pedestrian and Vehicular Circulation: Coordinate work with circulation patterns within Project building <br />and site. Circulation patterns cannot be closed off entirely without Mall Management approval, plan and <br />execute the Work accordingly. <br />1.5 PROJECT MEETINGS FOR ALTERATION WORK <br />A.Preliminary Conference for Alteration Work: Before starting alteration work, conduct conference at <br />Project site. <br />1.Attendees: Representatives of Landlord, Mall Management, Contractor, and Tenants of lease <br />space affected by Work shall be represented at the meeting. <br />2.Agenda: Discuss items of significance that could affect progress of alteration work, including <br />review of the following: <br />a.Alteration Work Sub schedule: Discuss and finalize; verify availability of materials, <br />specialists' personnel, equipment, and facilities needed to make progress and avoid delays. <br />b.Fire-prevention plan. <br />c.Governing regulations.
