Round 1 Bowling and Amusement 12/09/2024 Paradigm Design <br />Main Place Mall Expansion Grand Rapids, MI <br />Santa Ana, California <br />Project #2309147GR <br />ALTERATION PROJECT PROCEDURES 01 3516 - 3 <br />ed. 2023-09-22 <br />d.Areas where existing construction is to remain and the required protection. <br />e.Hauling routes. <br />f.Sequence of alteration work operations. <br />g.Storage, protection, and accounting for salvaged and specially fabricated items. <br />h.Existing conditions, staging, and structural loading limitations of areas where materials <br />are stored. <br />i.Qualifications of personnel assigned to alteration work and assigned duties. <br />j.Requirements for extent and quality of work, tolerances, and required clearances. <br />k.Embedded work such as flashings and lintels, special details, collection of waste, <br />protection of occupants and the public, and condition of other construction that affects the <br />Work or will affect the work. <br />3.Reporting: Record conference results and distribute copies to everyone in attendance and to <br />others affected by decisions or actions resulting from conference. <br />B.Coordination Meetings: Conduct coordination meetings specifically for alteration work at weekly <br />intervals. Coordination meetings are in addition to specific meetings held for other purposes, such as <br />progress meetings and pre-installation conferences. <br />1.Attendees: In addition to representatives of Owner, Mall Operations Management, Architect, and <br />Contractor; each adjacent Tenant representative, specialist, supplier, installer, and other entity <br />concerned with progress or involved in planning, coordination, or performance of alteration work <br />activities shall be represented at these meetings. All participants at conference shall be familiar <br />with Project and authorized to conclude matters relating to alteration work. <br />2.Agenda: Review and correct or approve minutes of previous coordination meeting. Review other <br />items of significance that could affect progress of alteration work. Include topics for discussion <br />as appropriate to status of Project. <br />a.Alteration Work Sub schedule: Review progress since last coordination meeting. <br />Determine whether each schedule item is on time, ahead of schedule, or behind schedule. <br />Determine how construction behind schedule will be expedited with retention of quality; <br />secure commitments from parties involved to do so. Discuss whether schedule revisions <br />are required to ensure that current and subsequent activities are completed within the <br />Contract Time. <br />b.Schedule Updating: Revise Contractor's Alteration Work Sub schedule after each <br />coordination meeting where revisions to schedule have been made or recognized. Issue <br />revised schedule concurrently with report of each meeting. <br />c.Review present and future needs of each entity present, including review items listed in <br />the "Preliminary Conference for Alteration Work" Paragraph in this article and the <br />following: <br />1)Interface requirements of alteration work with other Project Work. <br />2)Status of submittals for alteration work. <br />3)Access to alteration work locations. <br />4)Effectiveness of fire-prevention plan. <br />5)Quality and work standards of alteration work. <br />6)Change Orders for alteration work.
