Round 1 Bowling and Amusement 12/09/2024 Paradigm Design <br />Main Place Mall Expansion Grand Rapids, MI <br />Santa Ana, California <br />Project #2309147GR <br />ALTERATION PROJECT PROCEDURES 01 3516 - 6 <br />ed. 2023-09-22 <br />1.Identify each item for reinstallation with a nonpermanent mark to document its original location. <br />Indicate original locations on plans, elevations, sections, or photographs by annotating the <br />identifying marks. <br />2.Secure stored materials to protect from theft. <br />3.Control humidity so that it does not exceed 85 percent. Maintain temperatures 5 degrees F or <br />more above the dew point. <br />E.Storage Space: <br />1.Owner will arrange for limited on-site location(s) for free storage of salvaged material. This <br />storage space does not include security for stored material. <br />2.Arrange for off-site locations for storage and protection of salvaged material that cannot be <br />stored and protected on-site. <br />1.10 FIELD CONDITIONS <br />A.Survey of Existing Conditions: Record existing conditions that affect the Work by use of <br />preconstruction photographs and measured drawings. <br />1.Comply with requirements specified in Section 01 3233 "Photographic Documentation." <br />B.Discrepancies: Notify Architect of discrepancies between existing conditions and Drawings before <br />proceeding with removal and dismantling work. <br />C.Size Limitations in Existing Spaces: Materials, products, and equipment used for performing the Work <br />and for transporting debris, materials, and products shall be of sizes that clear surfaces within existing <br />spaces, areas, rooms, and openings, including temporary protection, by 12 inches or more. <br />PART 2 - PRODUCTS - (Not Used) <br />PART 3 - EXECUTION <br />3.1 PROTECTION <br />A.Protect persons, motor vehicles, surrounding surfaces of building, building site, plants, and surrounding <br />buildings from harm resulting from alteration work. <br />1.Use only proven protection methods, appropriate to each area and surface being protected. <br />2.Provide temporary barricades, barriers, and directional signage to exclude the public from areas <br />where alteration work is being performed. <br />3.Erect temporary barriers to form and maintain fire-egress routes. <br />4.Erect temporary protective covers over walkways and at points of pedestrian and vehicular <br />entrance and exit that must remain in service during alteration work.
