Round 1 Bowling and Amusement 12/09/2024 Paradigm Design <br />Main Place Mall Expansion Grand Rapids, MI <br />Santa Ana, California <br />Project #2309147GR <br />INSTRUCTIONS TO BIDDERS 00 2113 - 5 <br />ed. 2024-04-26 <br />4.1.A pre-bid site visit is required for general contractors interested in bidding. It is recommended that <br />you invite all sub contractors to the visit to see the existing conditions of the space and gain a better <br />understanding of the project. <br />4.2.The general contractor is required to coordinate their own pre-bid visit. Coordinate the time and access <br />with the mall management. <br />5.ARTICLE 5 BIDDING PROCEDURES <br />5.1.PREPARATION OF BIDS <br />5.1.1.Bids shall be submitted on the forms included with or identified in the Bidding Documents. <br />5.1.1.1.Printable electronic Bid Forms and related documents are available from Architect. <br />5.1.2.All blanks on the bid form shall be legibly executed in a non-erasable medium. <br />5.1.3.Sums shall be expressed in both words and figures. In case of discrepancy, the amount written <br />in words shall govern. <br />5.1.4.Interlineations, alterations, and erasures must be initialed by the signer of the Bid. <br />5.1.5.Type or print organization's name, mailing address, and telephone number. <br />5.1.6.Indicate in United States currency dollar amounts the stipulated sum. <br />5.1.7.Record Addenda numerically and indicate dates of Addenda documents. <br />5.1.8.Indicate alternate prices on Document 00 4323 “Alternates Form”. Refer to Section 01 2300 <br />“Alternates” for additional information. <br />5.1.9.Where two or more Bids for designated portions of the Work have been requested, the Bidder <br />may state the Bidder's refusal to accept award of less than the combination of Bids stipulated <br />by the Bidder. The Bidder shall make no additional stipulations on the bid form nor qualify the <br />Bid in any other manner. <br />5.1.10.Each copy of the Bid shall state the legal name of the Bidder and the nature of legal form of the <br />Bidder. The Bidder shall provide evidence of legal authority to perform within the jurisdiction <br />of the Work. Each copy shall be signed by the person or persons legally authorized to bind the <br />Bidder to a contract. A Bid by a corporation shall further give the state of incorporation and <br />have the corporate seal affixed. A Bid submitted by an agent shall have a current power of <br />attorney attached certifying the agent's authority to bind the Bidder. <br />5.1.11.Owner may elect to disqualify a bid due to failure to submit a bid in the form requested, failure <br />to bid requested alternates or unit prices, failure to complete entries in all blanks in
