Authorized persons are those so identified in the <br />Bidder's corporate bylaws, specifically empowered by the Bidder's charter or similar <br />legally binding document acceptable to Owner, or by a power of attorney, signed and <br />dated, describing the scope and limitations of the power of attorney. Make such <br />documentation available to Owner at the time of seeking modifications or withdrawal <br />of the Bid. <br />5.3.3.2.Owner will consider modifications to a bid written on the sealed bid envelope by <br />authorized persons when such modifications comply with the following: the <br />modification is indicated by a percent or stated amount to be added to or deducted <br />from the Bid; the amount of the Bid itself is not made known by the modification; a <br />signature of the authorized person, along with the time and date of the modification, <br />accompanies the modification. Completion of an unsealed bid form, awaiting final <br />figures from the Bidder, does not require power of attorney due to the evidenced <br />authorization of the Bidder implied by the circumstance of the completion and <br />delivery of the Bid. <br />6.ARTICLE 6 CONSIDERATION OF BIDS <br />6.1.OPENING OF BIDS <br />6.1.1.Bids will be opened upon receipt and shared with the owners and owner’s rep for review. <br />6.2.ACCEPTANCE OF BID (AWARD) <br />6.2.1.It is the desire of the Owner to award a Contract to the lowest qualified Bidder provided the <br />Bid has been submitted in accordance with the requirements of the Bidding Documents and <br />does not exceed the funds available; however, low bid alone will not necessitate award. The <br />Owner shall have the right to waive informalities and irregularities in a Bid received and to <br />accept the Bid which, in the Owner's judgment, is in the Owner's own best interests. <br />7.ARTICLE 7 POST-BID INFORMATION <br />7.1.SUBMITTALS <br />7.1.1.Within 48 hours after submitting a Bid, the Bidder may be requested to furnish in writing to the <br />Owner through the Architect the following: <br />7.1.1.1.Contractor’s Qualification Statement – AIA Document A305. <br />7.1.1.2.Schedule of Values – AIA Document G703. Refer to Document 00 4373 “Proposed <br />Schedule of Values Form”. <br />7.1.1.3.Subcontractor and Supplier List. Provide list of major subcontractors, suppliers, and <br />manufacturers furnishing or installing products. Note that the Owner desires the use <br />of local subcontractors and suppliers. Do not change subcontractors, suppliers, and <br />manufacturers from those submitted without approval of Architect.
