Geotechnical Investigation Report 03/11/2025 <br />2234 S Lowell St., Santa Ana, CA 92707 Page | 7 <br /> <br /> <br />Figure 4: Earthquake Zones of Required Investigation Map <br />EARTHQUAKE-INDUCED LANDSLIDES <br />Based on the CGS Earthquake Zones of Required Investigation map “Figure-4”, the project site <br />is not within a landslide zone, moreover, the site is not adjacent to any natural hills or manmade <br />embankments; therefore, the earthquake-induced landslide hazard does not exist for this site. <br />BACKFILL <br />The backfill (if proposed or needed) should consist of cohesionless soils or structural backfill, <br />compacted to at least 90% of relative compaction. The estimated parameters for the structural <br />backfill compacted to at least 90% of relative compaction are: <br />- Unit weight: 120 pcf. <br />- Friction angle: 33 degrees <br />The site’s soil that is classified as clayey fine sand (SC) is suitable for backfilling work in general, <br />provided that deleterious materials and construction debris (if any) have been screened out. <br />LATERAL EARTH PRESSURE <br />For cohesionless / structural backfill, the earth pressure coefficients can be as the following: <br />Project Location
