TYPICAL GARAGE CONVERSION ADU LIGHTING PLAN <br />DW 1.THE LIGHTING PLAN IS NOT INTENDED TO REPRESENT A COMPLETE SET OF ELECTRICAL DRAWINGS. EXCEPT <br />WHERE OTHERWISE NOTED, THE LOCATION AND SELECTION OF ANY ELECTRICAL REQUIREMENTS NOT <br />DIRECTLY RELATED TO THE LIGHTING SHALL BE BY OTHERS. <br />2.LOCATION OF FIXTURES ARE SHOWN DIAGRAMMATICALLY. CONTRACTOR TO REFERENCE WRITTEN <br />DIMENSIONS ON LIGHTING OR ARCHITECTURAL DRAWINGS. CONTRACTOR IS TO NOTIFY LIGHTING DESIGNER <br />ABOUT FIELD CONDITION THAT VARY WITH PLANS AND/ OR SPECIFICATIONS PRIOR TO COMMENCING <br />INSTALLATION. <br />3.THE CONTRACTOR SHALL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR COMPLIANCE WITH ALL APPLICABLE STATE AND LOCAL <br />BUILDING CODES. <br />4.THE CONTRACTOR SHALL INSTALL ALL FIXTURES ACCORDING THE MANUFACTURER'S INSTRUCTIONS AND <br />SHALL NOT VOID MANUFACTURES WARRANTY. <br />5.THE CONTRACTOR SHALL PROVIDE ALL NECESSARY HARDWARE, ELECTRICAL CABLE, TIMERS, DRIVERS/ <br />TRANSFORMERS, ETC., AS REQUIRED FOR COMPLETION OF INSTALLATION. <br />6.THE CONTRACTOR SHALL VERIFY VERTICAL AND HORIZONTAL CLEARANCES, CORRECT CEILING TRIM AND <br />THICKNESS, AS WELL AS AIR HANDLING REQUIREMENTS (IF ANY) FOR ALL FIXTURES PRIOR TO ORDERING. <br />7.FOR FIXTURES THAT REQUIRE REMOTE DRIVERS/ TRANSFORMERS, THE CONTRACTOR SHALL DETERMINE <br />LOCATIONS AS REQUIRED FOR EVEN LOAD DISTRIBUTION, SERVICE ACCESS, AND VENTILATION. <br />8.THE CONTRACTOR IS TO FURNISH AND INSTALL ADEQUATE DRAINAGE ADJACENT TO ALL DIRECT BURIAL <br />TRANSFORMERS AND RECESSED INGRADE (INFLOOR) LIGHT FIXTURES. <br />9.MILLWORK SHOP DRAWINGS REQUIRED FOR FINAL APPROVAL OF FIXTURE PLACEMENT BY LIGHTING <br />DESIGNER BEFORE INSTALLATION. <br />10.THE CONTRACTOR SHALL VERIFY THE COMPATIBILITY OF DIMMING AND CONTROL MODULES WITH FIXTURE <br />TYPES PRIOR TO INSTALLATION. <br />11.THE CONTRACTOR SHALL VERIFY FINISH COLOR FOR ALL DEVICES AND FACEPLATES WITH THE ARCHITECT/ <br />INTERIOR DESIGNER. <br />1.ALL PERMANENTLY INSTALLED LUMINARIES SHALL BE HIGH EFFICACY IN ACCORDANCE WITH BUILDING <br />ENERGY EFFICIENCY STANDARDS TABLE 150.0-A. <br />2.LUMINARIES WITH INTEGRAL SOURCES, SUCH AS LED LUMINARIES MUST BE CERTIFIED BY THE ENERGY <br />COMMISSION AS ME MEETING THE JA8 REQUIREMENTS. LUMINARIES THAT HAVE CHANGEABLE LAMPS <br />(SUCH AS SCREW-BASE LUMINARIES) MUST BE INSTALLED WITH LAMPS THAT HAVE CERTIFIED BY THE <br />ENERGY COMMISSION. LUMINARIES AND LAMPS THAT THE ENERGY COMMISSION CERTIFIED MUST BE <br />MARKED WITH JA8-2019 OR JA8-2019-E ON THE PRODUCT. <br />3.ALL RECESSED DOWNIGHT LUMINARIES MUST MEET ALL THE FOLLOWING REQUIREMENTS TO USED: <br />3.1.CONTAIN A LIGHT SOURCE THAT IS JA8-CERTIFIED, NO SCREW BASED LAMPS ALLOWED <br />3.2.BE LISTED FOR ZERO CLEARANCE INSULATION CONTACT (IC). <br />3.3.CERTIFIED AS AIRTIGHT <br />3.4.BE SEALED WITH A GASKET OR CAULK BETWEEN THE LUMINARIES HOUSING AND CEILING <br />3.5.ALLOW DRIVER MAINTENANCE AND REPLACEMENT TO BE READILY ACCESSIBLE TO BUILDING <br />OCCUPANTS FROM BELOW THE CEILING WITHOUT REQUIRING HOLES TO BE CUT IN THE CEILING. <br />4.BATHROOMS, GARAGES, LAUNDRY ROOMS AND UTILITY ROOMS ARE REQUIRED TO HAVE AT LEAST ONE <br />LUMINAIRE IN THE SPACE TO BE CONTROLLED BY AN OCCUPANCY OR VACANCY SENSOR. <br />5.ALL LED LUMINARIES ARE REQUIRED TO BE CONTROLLED BY NEMA SSL-7A COMPLIANT DIMMER UNLESS <br />THEY ARE CONTROLLED BY A VACANCY SENSOR OR AN OCCUPANCY SENSOR.
