CITY OF SANTA ANA <br />SPECIFICATIONS <br />PROJECT NO.: XX-XXXX <br /> PROJECT TITLE <br /> <br />14 <br />SECTION 5 - LEGAL RELATIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES <br />5-2 SPECIAL NOTICES <br />Add the following to this subsection: <br />Per Section 1771.4(a)(2) of the California Labor Code, Contractors are required to post job site <br />notices, as prescribed by regulation. <br />5-3 LABOR <br />5-3.2 Prevailing Wages <br />Add the following to this subsection: <br />Certified Payroll Records shall be submitted to the Engineer every two weeks beginning with the <br />actual start day of construction, and shall be consecutively numbered until the completion of the <br />work. Progress payments will be withheld pending receipt of any outstanding reports. <br />The Contractor shall assure that a qualified supervisor is present at all times when work is being <br />performed. <br />5-4 INSURANCE <br />5-4.2 General Liability Insurance <br />The provisions of this subsection apply except as herein modified: <br />The Contractor shall provide insurance coverage limits as detailed in the Certificate of Liability <br />Insurance. The Certificate of Liability Insurance is included in Appendix D of the Contract <br />Documents. <br />Professional Liability Insurance (errors and omissions) will only be required if Contractor <br />employs a licensed professional such as an architect or engineer for a component of the work. <br />When occurs, Professional liability insurance, with a combined single limit of not less than <br />$1,000,000 per claim with $2,000,000 in the aggregate. <br />The Certificate of Liability insurance shall be provided by the successful BIDDER within ten <br />(10) business days, after the successful BIDDER has received notice that the contract has been <br />awarded. Failure to provide shall be just cause for the annulment of the award and the forfeiture <br />of the proposal guaranty. <br />5-4.3 Worker’s Compensation Insurance <br />Add the following to this subsection: <br />The Contractor shall furnish the Agency with satisfactory proof of Worker’s Compensation <br />Insurance. The insurance shall be taken out with a responsible insu rance carrier authorized <br />under the laws of the State of California and satisfactory to the Agency. For work that is sublet, <br />the contract shall require the subcontractor similarly provide Worker’s Compensation Insurance <br />for the subcontractor’s employees. <br />505 E Central Ave <br />#B11/6/2024
