Pugmill <br />The recycle train shall have a continuous pugmill mixing plant with a belt scale or <br />integrated microprocessor control system to control the mass of the cold milled <br />reclaimed asphalt pavement being delivered to the mixing chamber and automatic <br />controls to obtain the proper amount of recycling agent being delivered. <br />The pugmill shall be equipped with paddles of a type and arrangement to provide <br />sufficient mixing action and movement to the cold milled reclaimed asphalt <br />pavement and emulsified recycling agent to produce properly mixed recycled <br />pavement mixture. The cold milled reclaimed asphalt pavement shall be fed from <br />the crushing or sizing equipment to the mixer at a uniform and controlled rate. <br />Mixing shall continue until a thoroughly and uniformly coated recycled pavement <br />mixture of unchanging appearance is produced at discharge from the mixer. <br />5. Water Storage and Supply Equipment <br />The recycle train shall have an independent source of water to properly disperse <br />the emulsified recycling agent. <br />CCPR Equipment <br />1. Pavement Milling Machine <br />The pavement milling machine shall be self-propelled. The milling equipment <br />shall be capable of removing the existing pavement to the depths shown in the <br />plans. Milling equipment shall be equipped with automatic depth controls <br />capable of maintaining the cutting depth to within ¼-inch of the desired depth, <br />and shall have a positive means for controlling cross slope. The milling operation <br />shall not disturb or damage the underlying material. The use of a heating device <br />to soften the pavement will not be permitted. <br />2. Crushing or Sizing Equipment <br />Crushing or sizing equipment shall be capable of producing reclaimed asphalt <br />pavement to the size required prior to mixing millings with emulsified recycling <br />agent. <br />3. Mixing and Proportioning Equipment <br />The mixing equipment shall be capable of mixing the cold milled reclaimed <br />asphalt pavement, emulsified recycling agent and water to produce a completely <br />and uniformly mixed, homogeneous recycled pavement mixture. <br />4.
