The Functional Testing Period will not be allowed to begin <br />without prior authorization by the Engineer. <br />4.08 SERVICE <br />The Service Cabinet shall be aluminum clear anodized Type II-BD (dual meter), 3 Wire <br />120/240V, wired for both traffic signal and street lighting metered circuits as follows: <br /> Myers Dual Metered Cabinet – MEA-IIBD-M100 (MOD), or approved equal. <br /> 100A main bus with 12-circuit interior metered <br /> Traffic Signal Metered Circuits: <br />o 30A for Traffic Signal <br />o 30A Spare. <br />o 15A Spare. <br /> Street Lighting Metered Circuits: <br />o 30A for Safety Lights. <br />o 30A for Street Lighting. <br />o 30A Spare <br />o 15A for Photoelectric Control <br />The Contractor shall be responsible for all service details, coordinating and scheduling of <br />work and necessary connections in advance of need. <br />The City has incorporated Edison service design into the City’s plan; however, it is the <br />contractor’s responsibility to verify the service requirement and installation prior to work. <br />If any discrepancy exists between the plans and Edison design, the Edison design shall <br />take precedence. No additional compensation will be provided for the discrepancy. <br />Stencil service address using 2” minimum lettering and black paint on the service cabinet. <br />Permanent self-adhesive letters and numbers will also be acceptable. <br />Contractor shall obtain the necessary electrical permits from the Planning & Building <br />Agency for service cabinet installation, inspection and electrical service <br />authorization. The permit fee will be waived for City projects. City will provide <br />Electrical Permit Fee Waiver Memorandum to be presented to Planning & Building <br />Agency at the time of obtaining permit. <br />4.09 TYPE 332L CABINET ASSEMBLY <br />If called for in the plans, the cabinet shall meet the following: <br /> <br />1. Type 332L Traffic Signal Cabinet Assembly shall meet the requirements of <br />Caltrans Transportation Electrical Equipment Specifications (TEES) dated March <br />12, 2009 <br /> <br />505 E Central Ave <br />#B11/6/2024
