CITY OF SANTA ANA <br />SPECIFICATIONS <br />PROJECT NO.: XX-XXXX <br />PROJECT TITLE <br /> <br />137 <br />5.03 LANDSCAPING & IRRIGATION MAINTENANCE PERIOD <br />GENERAL: <br />5.03.01 MAINTENANCE <br />A. MAINTENANCE SERVICE: After landscape planting and irrigation work have been <br />completed, inspected, and approved by Engineer, provide maintenance of planted <br />areas by means of continuous watering, weeding, rolling, mowing, re-seeding, <br />cultivating, spraying, mulching, trimming, edging, and other operations necessary for <br />care and upkeep for a period of 60 calendar days. <br />B. ADJUSTMENT TO MAINTENANCE PERIOD: Improper maintenance or possible <br />poor condition of any planting at the termination of the scheduled maintenance period <br />may cause postponement of the final completion date of the Contract. Maintenance <br />shall be continued by the Contractor until all work is acceptable. <br />5.03.02 FINAL ACCEPTANCE OF THE PROJECT <br />A. AS BUILT: Prior to the date of the Final Walk-Through, the Contractor shall acquire <br />from The approved reproducible prints and final record from the job record set of all <br />changes made to all plans during construction, label said prints "As-Builts", and <br />deliver to the Engineer. <br />B. ALL TURN-OVER ITEMS noted in other Sections shall be delivered prior to the <br />Final Walk-through. <br />PRODUCTS: <br />5.03.03 MATERIALS <br />A. Materials used in conjunction with the maintenance work shall conform to the <br />material requirements originally specified under the landscape planting work <br />EXECUTION: <br />5.03.04 EXAMINATION <br />Verification of Conditions: Prior to Work of this Section, examine the work of other <br />trades and verify that such work is complete or properly corrected to the point where <br />this maintenance work may properly commence. <br />5.03.05 LANDSCAPE PLANTING <br />A. MAINTENANCE SUMMARY: Maintenance of new planting shall consist of <br />watering, cultivating, applying pre-emergence weed control, weeding, mulching, <br />re-staking, tightening and repairing of guys, resetting plants to proper grades or <br />upright position, restoration of planting saucers, and furnishing and applying such <br />505 E Central Ave <br />#B11/6/2024
