Section includes: Development and maintenance of a Construction Safety Plan. <br />1.2 REFERENCES <br />A. California Labor Code, Section 6401.7. <br />B. National Fire Protection Association (NFPA): <br />1. 70E - Standard for Electrical Safety in the Workplace. <br />C. Occupational Safety and Health Standards (OSHA). <br />1.3 CONSTRUCTION SAFETY PLAN <br />A. Detail the Methods and Procedures to comply with California Labor Code Section <br />6401.7, NFPA 70E, Federal, and Local Health and Safety Laws, Rules and <br />Requirements for the duration of the Contract Times. Methods and procedures must <br />also comply with the Suez Safety Plan. Include the following: <br /> <br />1. Identification of the Certified or Licensed Safety Consultant who will prepare, <br />initiate, maintain and supervise safety programs, and procedures. <br /> <br />2. Procedures for providing workers with an awareness of safety and health <br />hazards expected to be encountered during the course of construction. <br /> <br />3. Safety equipment appropriate to the safety and health hazards expected to be <br />encountered during construction. Include warning devices, barricades, safety <br />equipment in public right-of-way and protected areas, safety equipment used <br />in multi-level structures, personal protective equipment (PPE) as required by <br />NFPA 70E. <br /> <br />4. Methods for minimizing employees' exposure to safety and health hazards <br />expected during construction. <br /> <br />5. Procedures for reporting safety or health hazards. <br /> <br />6. Procedures to follow to correct a recognized safety and health hazard. <br /> <br />7. Procedures for investigation of accidents, injuries, illnesses, and unusual <br />events that have occurred at the construction site. <br /> <br />8.
