This section describes general quality control requirements. <br />1. General quality control. <br />2. Manufacturers' field services. <br />3. Mock-ups. <br />4. Independent testing laboratory services and inspections. <br />B. Related Requirements: <br />1. Refer to applicable codes and Specifications sections for test requirements. <br />1.2 QUALITY CONTROL, GENERAL <br />A. Maintain quality control over suppliers, manufacturers, products, services, site <br />conditions, and workmanship, to produce work of specified quality. <br />1.3 MANUFACTURER'S FIELD SERVICES <br />A. When specified in respective Specification sections, require manufacturer or supplier <br />to have qualified personnel provide on-site observations and recommendations. <br />1. Observe field conditions, including conditions of surfaces and installation. <br />2. Observe quality of workmanship. <br />3. Provide recommendations to assure acceptable installation and workmanship. <br />4. Where required, start, test, and adjust equipment as applicable. <br />B. Representative shall submit written report to Architect or Owner listing observations <br />and recommendations. <br />1.4 MOCK-UPS <br />A. Erect field samples and field mock-ups at locations on site as approved in advance <br />and in accordance with requirements where included in Specifications section. <br />1. Test mock-ups requiring special equipment may be erected at location having <br />access to necessary equipment; coordinate with Architect. <br />B. Field samples and mock-ups not approved and not capable of being acceptably <br />revised shall be removed from site. <br />C.
