Named Manufacturers: Where names of manufacturers are specified select any <br />named manufacturer product meeting Specifications for products specified by <br />naming one or more manufacturers. <br />a. Submit Request for Substitution for any manufacturer not named. <br />3. Named Manufacturers and Named Products: Select any named manufacturer <br />named product meeting Specifications for products specified by naming one or <br />more manufacturers and products. <br />a. Where only one manufacturer and product is named together with additional <br />manufacturers without specific products, Requests for Substitutions to be <br />limited to products not comparable to that specified. <br />1) Contractors, subcontractors, suppliers, and manufacturers shall take <br />special care to ensure comparable products are being supplied based <br />on design, performance, quality, and longevity. <br />2) Substitutions: Submit Request for Substitution for any manufacturer not <br />named and for products not comparable to those specified in design, <br />performance, quality, and longevity. <br />4. Basis of Design: Where manufacturer or manufacturer and product both are <br />indicated as Basis of Design, submit Request for Substitution for other <br />manufacturers and products. <br />5. “Or Equal” Clauses: Submit request for substitution for manufacturer or product <br />not specifically named in Specifications where terms "or equal", "or approved <br />equal", or similar references are made. <br />G. Nameplates: Do not attach or imprint manufacturer or producer nameplates on <br />exposed surfaces in occupied spaces except for required labels and operating data. <br />1. Equipment Nameplates: Provide permanent nameplate on service connected <br />and power operated equipment located on easily accessible surface <br />inconspicuous in occupied spaces. <br />a. Provide name of product and manufacturer, model and serial number, <br />capacity, speed, rating, and similar information. <br />1.3 SUBMITTALS <br />A. Product List: Within 35 days after award of Contract, submit to Owner and Architect a <br />complete list of major products proposed for installation, with name of manufacturer, <br />trade name, and model. <br />B. Product List: Prior to submittal of second Request for Payment, submit to Architect <br />complete list of major products which are proposed for installation, with name of <br />manufacturer, trade name, and model. <br />1.
