This section describes basic product requirements governing material and equipment. <br />1. General product requirements. <br />2. Product list. <br />3. Quality assurance. <br />4. Delivery, storage, and handling. <br />B. Related Requirements: <br />1. Section 01 25 00: Substitution procedures. <br />2. Section 01 30 00: Submittal of manufacturers' certificates. <br />3. Section 01 77 00: Operation and maintenance data. <br />1.2 GENERAL PRODUCTS REQUIREMENTS <br />A. Products include material, equipment, and systems. <br />B. Comply with Specifications, referenced standards, and applicable codes and <br />regulations as minimum requirements. <br />C. Provide new materials except as specifically allowed by Contract Documents. <br />D. Materials to be supplied in quantity within a Specification section shall be by one <br />manufacturer, shall be the same, and shall be interchangeable. <br />E. Provide equipment and systems composed of materials from a single manufacturer <br />except where otherwise recommended by equipment or systems manufacturer or <br />where otherwise indicated in Contract Documents. <br />F. Contractor’s Options: Comply with following options; requests for substitutions for <br />named manufacturers and products shall comply with requirements specified in <br />Section 01 25 00 – Substitution Procedures. <br />1. Products Identified by Reference Standards: Select product meeting referenced <br />standard for products specified only by reference standard. <br />a. Requests for Substitutions to be limited to products not complying with <br />referenced standards. <br />1) Submit justification for non-compliance with reference standards as part <br />of Request for Substitutions; if product is foreign made submit rationale <br />why foreign standards and basic materials indicates compliance. <br />505 E Central Ave <br />#B11/6/2024
