Remove and dispose of excess Mulch and other material brought to the site by the Contractor. <br />3.14 REMOVAL OF FENCING AND OTHER TREE AND PLANT PROTECTION <br />A. At the end of the construction period or when requested by the Owner's Representative remove <br />protection fencing, mulch, and any other Tree Protection material. <br />3.15 DAMAGE OR LOSS TO EXISTING PLANTS TO REMAIN <br />A. Actual tree damage such as trunk scoring and broken limbs or damaged roots inside the Zone of <br />Protection will be assessed according to the percentage of loss of tree value. Percentage of tree <br />value will be determined by the Owner's Representative. Tree value will be determined from <br />“Evaluation of Landscape Trees, Shrubs, and Other Landscape Plants” by International Society <br />of Arboriculture. <br />B. Any remedial work on damaged existing trees recommended by the consulting arborist shall be <br />completed by the Contractor at no cost to the Owner. Remedial work shall include but is not <br />limited to: soil compaction remediation and vertical mulching, pruning and or cabling, insect and <br />disease control including injections, compensatory watering, additional mulching, and could <br />include application tree growth regulators. <br />C. Remedial work may extend up to two years following the completion of construction to allow for <br />any requirements of multiple applications or the need to undertake applications at required <br />seasons of the year. <br />END OF SECTION 015639
