BARBARA CATHOLIC SCHOOL TASK 2 75-24272-01 <br />DIOCESE OF ORANGE SEPTEMBER 12TH, 2024 <br />SANTA ANA, CA BID & PERMIT SET <br /> <br />STORM WATER POLLUTION CONTROL 015723 - 1 <br /> <br />SECTION 015723 - STORM WATER POLLUTION CONTROL <br />1.1 PART 1 – GENERAL <br />1.2 1.1 SUMMARY <br />A. This section includes the following: <br />1. Requirements for compliance with the Storm Water Pollution Prevention Plan (SWPPP) <br />developed specifically for this Project are the responsibility of the Contractor. <br />a. SWPPP satisfies the mandates of Federal Clean Water Act as enforced by State of <br />California Water Resources Control Board and its Regional Water Quality Boards. <br />b. In accordance with the State Water Resources Control Board’s (SWRCB) General <br />Construction Activities Storm Water Permit, Order No. 2009-0009-DWQ, NPDES <br />No. CAS000002, the SWPPP Major objective is to: <br />c. <br />d. (1) Identify the sources of sediment and other pollutants that affect the quality of <br />storm water discharges <br /> <br />e. (2) Describe and ensure the implementation of Best Management Practices, <br />(BMPs) to reduce or eliminate sediment and other pollutants in storm water as well <br />as non-storm water discharges. <br />B. Related Sections <br />1. Contractor shall retain a California State Certified Qualified SWPPP Practitioner (QSP) <br />to implement and maintain the SWPPP and file all necessary documents to the State. <br />2. SWPPP requires compliance of all trades on Project that use or manipulate materials of <br />any nature which can potentially enter storm-water drainage system. <br />3. Representative materials controlled by the SWPPP include erosion of native soils and fill <br />materials, groundwater, leakage or spills from construction vehicles and machinery, <br />stored fuels, concrete truck washout, chemical treatments, curing, compounds, paints, <br />plasters, paving materials, adhesives and sealants, trash and general construction debris, <br />pesticides, fertilizers, and any other material which can be carried by running water or <br />percolate into earth. <br />1.3 SUBMITTALS <br />A. Provide name and certification documents of the Qualified SWPPP Practitioner (QSP). <br />B. Trough the entirety of construction, prepare inspection reports, rain gauge readings, stormwater <br />sampling and analysis, bio assessment reports, Annual Reports and submit through the State’s <br />Storm Water Multiple Application and Report Tracking System (SMARTS) as required by the <br />General Construction Permit.
