Asbestos-Containing Materials (ACMs) and/or other Hazardous Materials Report. <br /> <br />1.03 DEFINITIONS <br /> <br />A. Remove: Remove and legally dispose of items except those indicated to be reinstalled, <br />salvaged, or to remain the owners’ property. <br />B. Asbestos-Containing Materials (ACMs) and other hazardous materials: As identified in the <br />Report, remove asbestos-containing materials (ASMs) and other identified hazardous materials. <br />C. Remove and Salvage: Items indicated to be removed and salvaged remain the Owner’s <br />property. Remove, clean, and pack or crate items to protect against damage. Identify contents <br />of containers and deliver to Owner’s designated storage area. <br />D. Remove and Reinstall: Remove items indicated; clean, service, and otherwise prepare them for <br />reuse; store and protect against damage. Reinstall items in locations indicated or as directed by <br />Owner. <br />E. Existing to Remain: Protect construction indicated to remain against damage and soiling during <br />demolition. When permitted by the Architect and Owner, items may be removed to a suitable, <br />protected storage location during demolition and then cleaned and reinstalled in their original <br />locations. <br />1.04 MATERIALS OWNERSHIP <br />A. Except for items or materials indicated to be reused, salvaged, or otherwise indicated to remain <br />the Owner's property, demolished materials shall become the Contractor's property and shall be <br />removed from the site with further disposition at the Contractor's option. <br />B. Historical items indicated remain the Owner’s property. Carefully remove and salvage each <br />item in a manner to prevent damage and deliver promptly to the Owner. <br />C. Historical items, archeological or paleontological findings, relics, and similar objects including, <br />but not limited to, cornerstones and their contents, commemorative plaques and tablets, <br />commemorative benches, antiques, and other items of interest or value to the Owner, which <br />may be encountered during demolition, remain the Owner’s property. If such items are <br />encountered, all project operations shall cease in the area of discovery immediately. The <br />Owner shall secure the services of an archeological consultant to assess the resources and <br />determine a course of action. <br />1. Cooperate with Owner’s archaeological consultant or historical adviser. Mitigated <br />Negative Declaration (MND) for related requirements. <br />D. Human Remains: In the event that human remains are discovered, there shall be no disposition <br />of such human remains, other than in accordance with the procedures and requirements set <br />forth in the California Health and Safety Code and Public Resources Code. All project <br />operations shall cease in the area of discovery immediately. In conjunction with the Owner, the <br />Code provisions require immediate notification of the County Coroner and the Native <br />American Heritage Commission. <br />1. Cooperate with the County Coroner, the Native American Heritage Commission <br />representative and other related officials. Refer to the Mitigated Negative Declaration <br />(MND) for related requirements. <br />
