Provide all power and control conductors, that terminate on equipment or terminal strips, with <br />solderless lugs or tork and flanged tongue terminals. Provide T & B "Sta-kon" tongue terminal. <br />This type conductor termination is not required when the equipment is provided with solderless <br />connectors. <br />3.5 INTERFACE WITH OTHER PRODUCTS <br />A. Identify wire and cable under provisions of Division 26. <br />B. Identify each conductor with its circuit number or other designation indicated on Drawings. <br />C. Conductor Identification: All branch circuit conductors (No. 10 AWG and smaller) throughout <br />the project shall be provided with color-coded insulation as follows: <br /> <br />208Y/120V Phase 480Y/277 <br />Black A Brown <br />Red B Orange <br />Blue C Yellow <br />White Neutral Gray <br />Green Ground Green <br />D. Conductors No. 8 and larger shall be black with bands of colored nonaging, plastic tape to color <br />code the conductors, utilizing the same scheme as for branch circuits. The bands shall occur <br />within each enclosure where a tap, splice or termination is made. <br />E. Color code all control wire insulation and label each termination. <br />3.6 FIELD QUALITY CONTROL <br />A. Testing Agency: Engage a qualified testing agency to perform tests and inspections and prepare <br />test reports. <br />B. Perform tests and inspections and prepare test reports. <br />C. Tests and Inspections: <br />1. After installing conductors and cables and before electrical circuitry has been energized, <br />test service entrance and feeder conductors for compliance with requirements. <br />2. Perform each visual and mechanical inspection and electrical test stated in NETA <br />Acceptance Testing Specification. Certify compliance with test parameters. <br />3. Infrared Scanning: After Substantial Completion, but not more than 60 days after Final <br />Acceptance, perform an infrared scan of each splice in cables and conductors No. 3 AWG <br />and larger. Remove box and equipment covers so splices are accessible to portable <br />scanner. <br />a. Follow-up Infrared Scanning: Perform an additional follow-up infrared scan of <br />each splice 11 months after date of Substantial Completion.
