City of Santa Ana Public Library Renovation <br />Smith, Fause & McDonald Inc.Group 4 Architecture Research + Planning, Inc. <br />Conform SetASI #026 – August 72, 20254 Group 4 Project No. 22575-01 <br />SECTION 27 4116-8 INTEGRATED AUDIOVISUAL SYSTEMS AND EQUIPMENT <br />1/3 Octave Band Sound Pressure Level and <br />maximum permitted <br />variance (dB) below ceiling <br />tile <br />3150 Hz:26.7 (± 2) dB <br />4000 Hz:25.0 (± 2) dB <br />5000 Hz:22.3 (± 2) dB <br />6300 Hz:19.7 (± 3) dB <br />8000 Hz:17.0 (± 4) dB <br />10,000 Hz:12.0 (+4/-6) dB <br />D.Measurements <br />1.Contractor to submit quantitative test reports substantiating conformance with the <br />technical performance standards outlined herein above for each cable run, <br />component, subsystem and overall system installed under the work of this Section, <br />concurrent with or prior to identifying to the City's Representative that the work is <br />Substantially Complete. <br />2.Conform with the requirements of Section 27 05 00 – Common Work Results for <br />Audiovisual Systems as to means and method of submittal. <br />1.9 TRAINING <br />A.Conduct training on completed system at reasonable convenience of the City during normal <br />business hours. <br />1.Operator Training: 16 hours, including classroom format and hands-on training. <br />Document training using the systems installed under the work of this project. <br />Transmit a copy of the training recordings to the City on USB Thumb Drive and on <br />DVD for subsequent retraining and reference by City staff. <br />2.Initial Use Support: Provide standby trainer/system engineer during two (2) system <br />uses, not to exceed 8 total hours of supplemental support/training. <br />1.10 DEFINITIONS <br />A.Definitions of Terms: The following definitions and conditions apply to each of the respective <br />parameters and the measurements of those parameters, unless specifically stated otherwise: <br />1.Frequency Response: The minimum acceptable frequency band over which the <br />amplitude response is within 3 dB (or any specified range), or the specified limits of <br />the response relative to the reference frequency (1 kHz for audio, 1.0 MHz for video) <br />under design load conditions, at any operating level up to and including the specified <br />maximum output while fully in compliance with all other performance specifications. <br />2.Maximum Output Level: The minimum acceptable maximum signal output level <br />(voltage, current or power) attained under design load conditions attained while fully <br />in compliance with all other performance specifications. <br />3.Harmonic Distortion: The maximum acceptable harmonic distortion measured at any <br />operating level, up to and including the specified maximum output, with an applied <br />sine wave signal of any frequency in the range of the specified frequency response. <br />4.Audio Intermodulation Distortion: The maximum acceptable intermodulation <br />distortion resulting from the introduction of 60 Hz and 7 kHz signals in a ratio of 4:1 <br />under design load conditions at any operating level up to and including the specified <br />maximum output level.
