Compatible: Material that will not adversely affect adjacent materials, is chemically <br />compatible with adjacent materials, and where required for bond, achieves adhesive <br />compatibility with adjacent materials. <br />B. Chemical Compatibility: Material that will not break down, deteriorate, degrade, or <br />prematurely fail when in contact with another material. Material that will not cause <br />chemical breakdown, deterioration, degradation, staining, or premature failure of <br />another material. <br />C. Adhesive Compatibility: Material that will develop bond strength or provide a suitable <br />surface for another material to develop bond strength complying with requirements <br />when in contact with another material. <br />1.5 PREINSTALLATION MEETINGS <br />A. Preinstallation Conference: Conduct conference at Project site prior to commencement <br />of field operations to establish procedures to maintain optimum working conditions and <br />to coordinate this Work with related and adjacent work. <br />1. Attendees shall include the Owner’s representative, Architect, Contractor, <br />installer, manufacturer's technical representative, and installers of any adjacent <br />trades. <br />2. Review waterproofing requirements, including, but not limited to, the following: <br />a. Surface preparation. <br />b. Minimum concrete curing period. <br />c. Forecasted weather conditions. <br />d. Special details. <br />e. Installation procedures. <br />f. Testing and Inspection procedures. <br />g. Protection and repairs. <br />h. Field quality control. <br />i. Coordination with interfacing portions of the work. <br />j. Protection of adjacent work.
