Page & Turnbull <br />Group 4 Project No. 22575-01 ASI 034 – December 24, 2025 <br /> <br />REHABILITATION OF CAST-IN-PLACE CONCRETE 03 0130-1 <br />SECTION 03 0130 – REHABILITATION OF CAST-IN-PLACE CONCRETE <br />PART 1 - GENERAL <br />1.1 RELATED DOCUMENTS <br />A. Drawings and general provisions of the Contract, including General and Supplementary <br />Conditions and Division 01 Specification Sections, apply to this Section. <br />1.2 WORK SUMMARY <br />A. This work includes providing the necessary labor, materials, equipment and supervision to <br />perform the following: <br />1. Concrete Spalls: Remove loose, spalled, delaminated concrete and patch concrete <br />with custom concrete patching mortar. Perform spall repairs on the following types of <br />concrete spalls: <br />a. Type 1: Minor Surface Spalling (avg. ¼ - 1 – 1/2 in. deep, no reinforcing <br />present). Remove loose, spalled, and delaminated concrete. Patch prepared <br />spall with a concrete patching mortar. <br />b. Type 2: Surface Spalling (avg. ¼ - 2 in. deep, rebar corrosion). Remove loose, <br />spalled, and delaminated concrete. Expose corroded steel reinforcement <br />(rebar). Mechanically clean rebar to remove all rust back to sound material. <br />Coat rebar with rust inhibiting coating. Patch prepared spall with a concrete <br />patching mortar. <br />c. Reinforced spall repair (Type 1 or 2): (deep spalls > 1 – 1/2 in. deep) conduct <br />Type 1 or 2 spall repair; reinforce and anchor patching mortar with stainless <br />steel wire secure with concrete Tek screws. <br />d. Previous existing incompatible concrete mortar repair: remove existing mortar <br />repair and conduct a Type I spall repair. <br />2. Remove abandoned ferrous anchors and patch holes with custom concrete patching <br />mortar. <br />3. Precast concrete trim: Remove loose, spalled, delaminated concrete and patch <br />concrete with proprietary concrete patching mortar. <br />4. Custom Mixed Concrete Patching Mortars: Produce custom mixed concrete patching <br />mortars based on mixes specified herein and mockup evaluation. <br />5. Concrete Repair Mockups: Conduct in situ mockups of the exposed aggregate <br />concrete repairs to assist the design team in determining the materials, procedures, <br />and workmanship for final specification of repairs to match the existing precast <br />concrete on the building. <br />1.3 RELATED SECTIONS <br />A.
