Agreement with HFH Consultants, LLC, <br />for Solid Waste Consulting Services <br />May 15, 2018 <br />Page 2 <br />Agency. The ranking criteria included the experience of the firm and team, relevant project <br />experience, understanding of the scope of work, the work plan, references, schedule, and fee. Tseng and Assoc., Inc. <br />79 <br />$225,000 <br />Staff recommends awarding a contract to HFH Consultants, LLC, based on its experience with <br />similar work in the solid waste industry, expertise in the solid waste industry, familiarity with the <br />Orange County solid waste contracts and environment, and approach to complete the work within <br />the specified time. The proposal contains a clear path toward achieving City goals and objectives <br />as required by the RFP. The total agreement (Exhibit 2) compensation is in the amount not to <br />exceed $220,800. <br />STRATEGIC PLAN ALIGNMENT <br />Approval of this item supports the City's efforts to meet Goal #4 - City Financial Stability, Objective <br />#1 (maintain a stable, efficient and transparent financial environment); and, Goal #5 - Community <br />Health, Livability, Engagement & Sustainability. <br />ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT <br />There is no environmental impact associated with this action. <br />FISCAL IMPACT <br />Funds in the amount of $220,800 are available in the Refuse Collection Service Fund, (Account <br />No. 06917640-62300) for expenditure in FY 2017-18, and will be budgeted in FY 2018-2019, FY <br />2019-2020, and FY 2020-2021, as outlined in the following estimated spending plan.
