Adopt a resolution approving General Plan Amendment No. 2015-01. <br />3. Adopt an ordinance approving Amendment Application No. 2015-01. <br />4. Adopt an ordinance approving Zoning Ordinance Amendment No. 2015-01. <br />PLANNING COMMISSION ACTION <br />At its regular meeting on April 9, 2018, the Planning Commission by a vote of 7:0 recommended <br />that the City Council adopt a resolution approving the addendum to Environmental Impact Report <br />No. 1988-01 for the Bristol Street Specific Plan; adopt a resolution approving General Plan <br />Amendment No. 2015-01; adopt an ordinance approving Amendment Application No. 2015-01; <br />and adopt an ordinance approving Zoning Ordinance Amendment No. 2015-01 to amend the <br />Bristol Street Corridor Specific Plan (SP -1). The Planning Commission recommended one <br />modification to the Design Guidelines section of the Bristol Street Specific Plan (Section 6.1.2). <br />This modification requires buildings to be sited as close to Bristol Street as permissible while <br />encouraging parking to be placed at the rear of the site (Exhibit A). <br />DISCUSSION <br />The Bristol Street Corridor is a major arterial street that is approximately 3.9 miles in length and <br />extends from Memory Lane to Warner Avenue. In 1989, the City approved several documents <br />related to improvements to Bristol Street, a project known as the Bristol Street Widening project. <br />One of the documents was the Bristol Street Corridor Specific Plan, which analyzed the existing <br />75D-1 <br />
