HRCA No. 2017-50, HRC No. 2017-49 <br />HPPA No. 2017-54 <br />May 24, 2018 <br />Page 3 <br />• Long term preservation of the property and visual improvement to the neighborhood <br />• Allows for a mechanism to provide for property rehabilitation <br />• Provides additional incentive for potential buyers to purchase historic structures <br />• Discourages inappropriate alterations to the property <br />Upon consideration of the application, it is recommended that the City enter into a Historic <br />Property Preservation Agreement. <br />Public Notification <br />The subject site is located within the Washington Square Neighborhood and the president of <br />this neighborhood association was notified by mail 10 days prior to this public hearing. In <br />addition, the project site was posted with a notice advertising this public hearing, a notice was <br />published in the Orange County Reporter and mailed notices were sent to all property owners <br />within 500 feet of the project site. At the time of this printing, no correspondence, either <br />written or electronic, had been received from any members of the public. <br />CEQA Compliance <br />In accordance with the California Environmental Quality Act, the recommended actions are <br />exempt from further review under Section 15331, Class 31, as these actions are designed to <br />preserve historic resources.
