Gns Items allowing units and <br />unit quantities for the work. items included in the technical <br />apexlfioations will include (but are not limited to) the <br />following; <br />• Well location, depth, dimensions, and materlais; <br />• Permits and regulatory requirarnents; <br />• Compliance with discharge requirements (as <br />necessary); <br />•,lob conditions (e.g., noise suppression, waste <br />materials, runoff management, power, lighting, water, <br />security, sanitation, parking, traffic control, and work <br />damage); <br />• Mobilization, demobilization, clearing, grubbing, and <br />alto cleanup; <br />• Equipment, materials, and records to be furnished by <br />the Contractor; <br />• Records to be kept by the Contractor; <br />• Well repair byawaging; <br />• Well cleaning by brushing and bailing; <br />« Well cleaning by chemical injection; <br />• Wall redevelopment by airlifting and swabbing; <br />• Well redevelopment by pumping and surging; <br />• Aquifer pumping and recovetytest protocol; <br />• Flowmetersutvey; <br />• Field ground water quality monitoring protocol: <br />• around watersampung protocol; <br />• Post -rehabilitation `dual -cam" downhole video survey; <br />ani! <br />• Final well disinfection. <br />CEQSCIENCE will submit an electronic copy of a 1%)% <br />DRAFt version of the technical plans and spaolficationsto <br />the City forteview and comment Comments to the draft <br />'Will be incorporated and GEOSCIENCE will submit one (1) <br />electronic copyaftd theft(3) bound hard copies of the <br />166% FINAL technical specifications, <br />4. Wail Modifioation by Swaging <br />If any damage to the well caging 066 sorean is observed <br />from thatiot4rittole video surv�y,.it maybe nec'ssserytq <br />swag a patch to stabilize fliterpack and formation material <br />frW anteringthe well during operation. if this is deemed <br />necessary, GEOSCIENCE will provide fulltline Inspection <br />whileany patches or repairs are made. <br />b. Initial Brushing and mailing of Well Casing and Screen <br />A vigorous mechanical brushing procedure should be <br />implanionted to loosen and dislodge a maximum amount <br />Of surface encrustation and/or bio foutbig materials, <br />GEOSCIENCE will provide parttime inepeatfon during <br />brushing and b'alling,of the well to monitor the progress <br />of the task and to ensure that the proper methods and <br />equipment are employed, GEOSOIENCE will provide <br />direction to Contractor regarding problfln areas of the well <br />screen that may require additional work. <br />c. Chemical Rehabilitation <br />Following mechanical rehabilitation, the well should <br />undergo chemical cleaningto remove blefiim produced <br />by bacteria, clays and fine-grained sediments, as well <br />as assisting in removing biological and mineral deposits <br />that may be cloggingthe perforattons and near -well zone. <br />The exact nature of the chemicals to be used shall be <br />recommended based on the results of the downhole video <br />survey (Phase 1) and review of the wells water chemistry, <br />GEOSCIENCE will provide full-time inspection during,mixing <br />and applioation of the chemical mixture to ensure proper <br />chemical concentrations end proper dispersal throughout <br />the well casing and screen. <br />d.
