TAIT & Associates, Inc. <br />On -Call Engineering Services <br />Field Design Survey <br />TAIT will conduct a localized field pickup topographic survey of the project site plus 25 feet outside of <br />the roadway ROW to detail the existing topographic features and elevations. Temporary benchmarks <br />and basis of bearing data will be set if control is not readily available, The survey for this project <br />assumes a half day to tie down horizontal and vertical control and no more than one day of field <br />topographical survey conducted over two site visits, The 24d field .survey occurs once the 65% design has <br />been completed in order to pick up supplemental field join information. <br />Field work associated with TAIT's Field Design surveys will be provide based on the current prevailing <br />Wage rates established by the state of California <br />Deliverables: <br />✓ Topographic Survey Data <br />✓ TemporaryBenchmark & Basis of Bearing Notes, If required <br />✓ State -required Prevailing Wage Documentation <br />Base Mapping <br />For this 1000 -foot long street widening project TAIT Is proposing to prepare the project's Base Map at a <br />horizontal scale of 1 -Inch equals 20 feet to provide a higher level of detail for edge conditions. The base <br />mapping for this project will be prepared using the following items: <br />✓ Roadway Base Map (record based and supplemented with the field design.survey) <br />✓ Right of way (record based or GIS based R/W, if available from the city) <br />✓ Utility (record based line work using utility Atlas maps and other record drawings) <br />✓ Google Maps street view supplement by TAIT Site Walk field. notes and photographs <br />All base maps will be prepared in accordance with the City's project needs and will Identify the project <br />limits and existing features which will be impacted by the proposed Improvements. <br />Deliverables: <br />✓ 20 -scale Base Map <br />Utility Information Bequests and Coordination <br />TAIT will prepare three utility notices as part of this task as described below: <br />1't UtQIW Notice: This sub -task Includes the hours associated with the initial utility research and <br />the issue of notices to obtain record data. TAIT will compile and track all responses in a utility <br />tracking matrix and will conducts follow ups with all non-responsive utilitles. <br />21 Utility Notice: This sub -task Includes the hours associated with the preparation and <br />distribution of the 2"d utility notice per RFP requirements, <br />Final Utility Notice: This sub -task Includes the hours associated with the preparation and <br />distribution of the 314 utility notice per RFP requirements. <br />Deliverables: <br />✓ Utility Information Matrix <br />✓ Utility Coordination Log & Records <br />✓ 11t, 2"d & Final Utility Notices <br />Geotedmicallavestigations <br />TAIT will retain GMU, a Geotechnical Engineering firm, to serve as the project's geotechnical sub - <br />consultant and conduct the necessary field Investigations to determine the project requirements which <br />may include, but not be limited to, subgrade evaluation and development of pavement structural <br />sections recommendations. <br />1� TAIT Page 114 <br />25E-573 <br />
