Mr. Schmiedees technical experience also Includes <br />conducting design reviews, development of traffic signing and striping plans, <br />preparation of traffic control and construction staging plans, preparation of <br />construction specifications and cost estimates, and providing construction <br />management and inspection, His project management experience includes <br />utility coordination, master planning, and project scheduling. <br />Orange County Animal Care Facility, county of Orange, Sr. Project Manager, <br />2016 -Present <br />Oversaw the preparation of rough and precise grading plans, street plans, sewer <br />and water plans, fire water protection plans, Water Quality Management Plan <br />(WQMP) and Storm Water Pollution Prevention Flan (SWPPP) for a 10 -acre site <br />on the former USMC Tustin Air Station for the new Orange County Animal Care <br />Facility. This project Is the first Design -Build project being implemented in by the <br />County. TAIT & Associates, lnc: is the Civil Engineering Consultant to Snyder <br />Langston, the County's Design -Build Contractor. The contract was award in the <br />spring of 2016 and a Rough Grading Permit was issued by the City of Tustin in <br />July 2016 while the County Animal Care and the Design -Build Contractor <br />finalized the building and kennel Improvements. Construction of the $28 million <br />facility is scheduled to be completed by August 2016. When completed the <br />facility will Include a 2 -story 40,000 SF administration building with state of the <br />art veterinary facilities, six dog kennels, special cat housing quarters and a small <br />corral, Separate parking lots are provide for the public and staff with the staff <br />parking lot repurposing nearly 1 -acre of existing concrete tarmac. The project <br />also Includes eight storm water bio-fiitration basins to treat storm water runoff <br />from the site before it enters the public storm drain system. <br />The commons at Quartz Hill, City of Lancaster, Project Engineer, 2015 -Present <br />Served as the Senior Project Manager for this retail center that includes an <br />185,000 SF Walmart Supercenter and 14 outparcels and Is located at the NWC of <br />Avenue L and 60th Street West In the City of Lancaster.
