PROPOSAL <br />Civic Center StormwaterLiftStationRenovation Des!g tlrvices y <br />Steven Slocum, P.L.S. <br />Survey <br />Mr. Slocum has years of progressive surveying experience. He <br />has worked on several significant projects, including; boundary <br />and street monumentation, topographic data collection, HDS <br />ground based Lidar (laser scanning) surveys, aerial control and <br />validation surveys, grading and utility construction staking, <br />control, and settlement and deformation monitoring. Mr. Slocum <br />has worked as a Party Chief on projects including laser scan <br />surveys, pipeline alignment staking, settlement monitoring, and <br />tunnel alignment verification. <br />Project Experience <br />Baker Regional Water Treatment Plant, Lake Forest, <br />California. Irvine Ranch Water District Party Chief. <br />Responsible for field surveys. Michael Baker was the lead <br />consultant for the Baker Regional Water Treatment Plant <br />(BRWTP). For a number of years, water agencies in South <br />Orange County have investigated alternatives for Improving <br />both water supply and water system reliability. These agencies <br />determined that a local treatment plant utilizing untreated <br />surface water from Metropolitan Water District as its source of <br />supply would be the preferred alternative. Michael Baker <br />provided preliminary and final design services for the BRWTP. <br />The plant is sized for a capacity of 28 mgd and will utilize <br />microfiltration as the primary method of treatment. Additional <br />project components Include raw water pump station; raw water <br />pump station for Trabuco Canyon Water District; pretreatment, <br />Including chlorine dioxide and coagulant; pressurized MF <br />membranes; UV disinfection; chloraminatlon; backwash <br />recovery system; solids handling facilities; DYK reservoir <br />modifications; and product water pump station. <br />FE08-14-R Sunflower Pump Station Rehabilitation, <br />Fountain Valley, California. Surveyor. <br />Michael Baker collected high-definition laser scanning, <br />terrestrial Light Detection and Ranging (LIDAR), data to <br />prepare three-dimensional modeling of a single auger and its <br />respective concrete cradle. The purpose of the scan was to <br />verify clearances between the auger and cradle to within one <br />half of an inch to one quarter of an inch. The scanning and <br />control survey was completed in four stages. <br />OC -44 Pipeline Rehabilitation/Replacement Project, <br />Orange County, California. Mesa Water District.
