Professional On-call Engineering Services City of Santa Ana <br />RFP No. 17-083 <br />PHASE 4: CONSTRUCTION STAGE' <br />During the construction phase of the projects, APP will typically provide the following services on an as - <br />needed basis:, <br />e Respond to RFI's ' <br />e Visit site for progress and conformance to PS&E <br />f Interpret plans and specifications as necessary j <br />• Analyze changed field conditions <br />• Prepare revisions to plans as necessary <br />e Review shop drawings and other required submittals <br />• Prepare "as -built' drawings <br />Quality AssurancefQuailty Control (QA/QC) Management Process <br />QA/QC is a key component to any project, and a critical component for this project that encompasses i <br />numerous property owners, temporary encroachment permits and design elements, Quality Control <br />will be an ongoing task throughout the project. The initial effort will be in the development of a project <br />specific checklist that will establish specific tasks that need to be accomplished, the estimated j <br />completion date and a signature block for the project manager to sign that the task has been :$ <br />completed and reviewed. Matt Stepien, PE, Is responsible for overall QA/QC, and will ensure that all <br />checklist items are addressed by the project manager. <br />Submittals: For each of the milestone submittals, the project manager will be responsible to ensure j <br />that the submittal meets the scope requirements. In addition to plan and specification review, the'e ' <br />Project Manager will evaluate progress and review the results and, if necessary, develop a plan to keep ". <br />the project within budget and on time. } <br />Schedule: We will prepare and maintain a Microsoft Project schedule that focuses on delivering the <br />project. The schedule, task lists and progress reports will be used to list each task in the project to <br />enable our Project Manager to hold members accountable for delivery. We will provide a summary <br />report regularly that shows tasks completed, items that have changed, and schedule updates. <br />Our Strategic Approach to a Quality Product: <br />Understand the Project <br />Quality control starts at the beginning of the project <br />through planning and controls. At the forefront of the <br />project, our project manager will discuss the proposed Quality <br />Management <br />scope of work, projected schedule, and estimated costs in Process <br />detail with the City to ensure that the project scope and <br />goals are fully understood from the onset. <br />The Right People for the Project <br />Our project team has extensive, relevant experience in completing public works infrastructure <br />projects in Southern California. The team that has been formed will hit the ground running, <br />delivering on schedule and within budget. <br />Communication <br />Our project manager has an excellent track record communicating with clients, subconsultants, <br />staff, and stakeholders.
