At stations, the <br />Reyes, Susana Barrlentos, Bryan Ngu. <br />busway lane widens to provide passing lanes for <br />yen, Sheila McCracken, Robert Burch, <br />buses. The 28 -foot wide roadway is within the Metro <br />Chris Stone, Edward Cox, Christopher <br />right-of-way and is 100 feet wide in most locations — <br />Kelley, Ryan Moore <br />providing adequate room for landscaping as well as space for <br />fences, privacy walls, drainage facilities, and a bikeway/pedes- <br />trian path adjacent to the busway. <br />The busway was designed for future conversion to Ilght-rail <br />transit service. A Class I bikeway that includes a pedestrian <br />path was designed and constructed within the Metro right-of- <br />way from the terminus of the existing MOL bikeway/pedestrian <br />path at Canoga Avenue, north to Lassen Street and along Las- <br />sen Street to connect within the existing bike path on the east <br />side of the existing Browns Creek drainage channel. Street and <br />pedestrian crossings were improved on nine streets where the <br />busway intersects the crossing street. A bus parking lot was <br />constructed on -the Metro=owned.property_at,Marilla..Street_and.. <br />Owensmouth Avenue. Park-and-ride facilities were included at <br />three stations, providing approximately 1,074 additional park- <br />ing spaces.
