<br />Wilidan is providing civil and traffic engineering de-
<br />sign and other appurtenant services for street im-
<br />provements from Alameda Street to Hunt Avenue
<br />funded through Metro and local funds. The project Is
<br />a complete rehabilitation of roadway improvements
<br />that involve widening the street from four to six; reha-
<br />bllltating street pavement sections, including local-
<br />ized removal and replacement of failed roadway; m -
<br />stalling landscaped and hardscapad medians, Includ.
<br />Ing drought -resistance plants, irrigation system, and lighting
<br />system; reconstructing deficient sidewalk, curb, gutter,
<br />driveway approaches, and ADA -noncompliant curb ramps;
<br />planting street parkway trees without irrigation, green
<br />streets technologies, and complete streets

<br />Artistic elements and gateway corridor entrance are In-
<br />cluded In the design. Other improvements Include bus shel-
<br />ters and bus turnouts; tratfic signal modifications with bat-
<br />tery backup, pedestrian countdown heads, and upgrades to LED where possible. Signals will be synchro-
<br />nized to reduce traffic congestion and Improve bus speeds.

<br />Los Alamitos, CA 90720
<br />Wilidan provided civil and traffic engineering and
<br />other appurtenant services for street improvements
<br />between Cerritos Avenue and Katella Avenue. As
<br />one of three Improvement segments, the project In-
<br />volves raised medians with landscaping and Irriga-
<br />tion, hardware, decorative street lights, electrical re-
<br />ceptacles for seasonal tree lighting, tree uplights and
<br />monument signs. Median Improvements were opti-
<br />mized through traffic analysis and vehicle turning
<br />movement modeling.
<br />Crosswalks at four signalized Intersections will be re-
<br />moved and replaced with integral colored concrete. A
<br />storm drain on Serpentine Drive will be modified. Por•
<br />tions of the project limits will receive a 12 -inch -thick
<br />full -depth asphalt concrete over 8 -inch -thick com-
<br />pacted subgrade. Wilidan assisted the city with public outreach to gamer input through town hall meetings,
<br />open houses, and public hearings.
