Consulate of Mexico In Santa Ana
ui. uo r7i axle« € ti Number: ] 2. 9 9
Santa Ana, California, May 3, 2018
Santa Ana Arts and Culture Commission
City of Santa Ana
20 Civic Center Plaza
M-25, 6th Floor
Santa Ana, CA 9270
Dear Members of the Santa Ana Arts and Culture Commission:
I am pleased to submit this letter in support of the Orange County Children's
Therapeutic Arts Center's (OCCTAC) application to the Investing in the Artist Grant
Program. OCCTAC's proposed project to present the "We are Santa Ana" Youth Art
Exhibition is a great opportunity to celebrate the artistic accomplishments of Santa Ana
youth, our cultural diversity and to educate the community about the artistic traditions of
Santa Ana.
One of the goals of this Consulate of Mexico is to engage with local authorities and
agencies to promote educational and cultural programs in the community. Within this
framework, we partner with OCCTAC to support their Youth Art Exhibition in Santa Ana,
as well as the Santa Ana's Multicultural Family Festival that will feature musical and
dance performances by children and youth of all ages from the various ethnic
communities/cultures in Santa Ana. This unique venture is an exciting opportunity to
expose diverse segments of Santa Ana's population, as well as to educate the
community as to the value and the role that the arts play in contemporary cultural
identity.
As a partner in the proposed project, the Consulate of Mexico has worked and will
continue to assist OCCTAC with events that promote cultural and educational programs
for the community in Santa Ana and Orange County.
Hoping that this Commission will positively consider OCCTAC"s request, I take this
opportunity to express my highest consideration.
Since
Mario
Consu
E
