<br />The Delhi Center Board of Directors and staff are highly reflective of the community we serve.
<br />They are immigrants or children of immigrants, they grew up in low income households with
<br />large families, several come from single -parent families, and some staff are dealing with their
<br />DACA status with fear and uncertainty under the current political climate. They understand first-
<br />hand the issues and obstacles the center's clients face.
<br />Board President, Dr. Rigo Rodriguez is a Governing Board Member of the Santa Ana Unified
<br />School District, the seventh largest school district in California. He is an Associate Professor of
<br />Latina/o Public Policy at California State University, Long Beach, and a nationally recognized
<br />expert in community planning and grassroots leadership development. He has a PhD in
<br />geography with an emphasis on urban governance, social policy, immigration, and community
<br />development. He has a Masters in Urban & Regional Planning with an emphasis in
<br />comprehensive neighborhood development in inner cities and inclusive community planning
<br />with immigrant populations and communities of color. Dr. Rodriguez is an active board member
<br />of High School, Inc., a nonprofit that helps high school students develop career technical skills in
<br />global finance and business, health and dental, culinary arts and hospitality, construction
<br />management, and automotive.
<br />CEO, Jenny Rios has over 30 years of experience in the development and management of
<br />programs and services for underserved communities using research -based best practices. Ms.
<br />Rios has managed, with full compliance, millions of dollars of grant funded programs in the
<br />areas of gang prevention, financial stability, senior services, community engagement, education,
<br />health and fitness, family resource centers, and others. She has also managed several large
<br />recreation and community centers and has played a major role in capital improvement projects.
