<br />Heath is a talented landscape
<br />architect with a fresh perspective
<br />to design. He has 21 years of
<br />experience in design of numerous
<br />projects including design and
<br />planning for parks, playgrounds,
<br />sports facilities, and streetscapes,
<br />Heath has recent design
<br />experience on national cemeteries
<br />including the National Memorial
<br />Cemetery of Arizona and the
<br />Sacramento Valley National
<br />Cemetery in Dixon, California. He
<br />has participated as a landscape
<br />architect for a number of major
<br />hotels in Las Vegas, Nevada. He
<br />was lead landscape architect on
<br />large-scale preliminary designs
<br />that included schematic design,
<br />design development, preparing
<br />construction documents,
<br />managing and coordinating design
<br />staff for production tasks, and
<br />producing conceptual design
<br />graphics and presentation
<br />material. He has worked on
<br />projects across the west as well
<br />as in the UAE, India, and Korea.
<br />Richard T. Steed Memorial Park,
<br />San Clemente, California
<br />DEA developed a comprehensive
<br />master plan and final design for
<br />a 40 -acre community park. Heath
<br />assisted with the preliminary
<br />plans for the overall park and
<br />specifically for the dog park. The
<br />scope Included the renovation
<br />of existing concession ball
<br />fields/beer garden and the
<br />completion of other community
<br />recreation elements including an
<br />amphitheater, skateboard park,
<br />dog park, additional lighted ball
<br />fields and other active and passive
<br />recreation amenities.
<br />Heritage Park Aquatic Center,
<br />Irvine, California
<br />Heath assisted with the
<br />preliminary design, design
<br />development and construction
<br />documents for the refurbishment
<br />of the Heritage Park Aquatic
<br />Center, including the planting
<br />design and hardscape. DEAalso
<br />provided engineering services for
<br />the aquatic center's refurbishment.
<br />Cesar Chavez Park, South Gate,
<br />California
<br />Heath was part of the design
<br />team for the conceptual design
<br />of soccer fields and restroom
<br />structures for this community park,
<br />He assisted with preparation of
<br />the construction documents.
<br />Honda Rider Educational
<br />Center, Colton, Californla
<br />Heath assisted with the
<br />conceptual design and
<br />construction documents for
<br />this off-highway vehicle rider
<br />education facility. The design
<br />includes several blociimates and
<br />a variety of terrain for the riders to
<br />move through. Extensive native
<br />plantings were used, which was
<br />challenging for the irrigation
<br />design.

<br />California
<br />Heath was on the design team
<br />for this new park in Palos Verdes
<br />Estates. The City had provided
<br />a hand drawing of what they
<br />wanted the park to look like,
<br />Working closely with the City
<br />Forester, the team turned that
<br />concept into a conceptual design
<br />and construction documents

<br />for this neighborhood park. The
<br />park is located within a canyon
<br />overlooking the Pacific Ocean.
<br />The design utilizes natural
<br />materials from the area, with
<br />decomposed granite trails and
<br />native plant materials to blend with
<br />the natural surroundings.
<br />Huntington Memorial Hospital,
<br />Pasadena, California
<br />While with another firm, Heath
<br />served as landscape architect
<br />and provided design and overall
<br />project management. Directly
<br />adjacent to the main vehicular
<br />entry to the hospital stood an
<br />open parking lot not open to the
<br />public. This lot was fenced off from
<br />public view and did little visually
<br />to enhance the appearance of
<br />the hospital. The hospital chose
<br />to develop the land into a park
<br />that patients, visitors, and the
<br />general public would be free to
<br />use. The proposed park featured
<br />concrete and decomposed
<br />granite walkways, built planter
<br />walls, site furnishings, wrought
<br />iron fencing and gates, planted
<br />detention basins, and an herb
<br />garden. Color design plans and
<br />sketches were prepared starting at
<br />the concept level and proceeded
<br />with full plans, specifications, and
<br />estimates at the bid document
<br />phase. Heath worked closely with
<br />hospital staff and It's engineering
<br />department throughout the life of
<br />the project.
