For the past 20 years, he <br />has worked on a wide variety of <br />irrigation projects including sports <br />parks, hotels, resorts, residential, <br />and Commercial developments. <br />His responsibilities also include <br />preparing irrigation master meter <br />plans for various master planned <br />community developments. Jon <br />provides construction observation <br />including submittal review and <br />site visits (main line testing) <br />specifically focused on irrigation <br />systems and controls. He.is well <br />versed in the regulatory guidelines <br />associated with A61.681 (Model <br />Water Efficient Landscape <br />Ordinance). <br />Memory Lane Park, Santa Ana, <br />California <br />Jon provided irrigation design for <br />the final plans for Memory Lane <br />Park and Trailhead for the City <br />of Santa Ana, With access to the <br />Santa Ana River Trail, the pocket <br />park will Include a children's <br />play area, fitness equipment, <br />nature garden, trails, bike racks, <br />equestrian hitching posts, picnic <br />area, site furnishings, a dry creek <br />bed with pedestrian bridge, <br />signage, and security lighting. <br />Proposal to provide <br />Landscape Architectural Design for 6th & Lacy Park - RFP No. 18.038 <br />Ocotillo Park, Cathedral City, <br />California <br />Jon prepared the irrigation design <br />for the multiple award-winning <br />Ocotillo Park in Cathedral City. <br />Working closely with the city <br />appointed grant writer, DEA <br />developed a plan for active <br />recreation facilities while <br />considering the incorporation <br />of sustainable features such as <br />recycled materials, the use of <br />decorative rock and decomposed <br />granite, 'Smart Irrigation' <br />techniques, and drought tolerant <br />plant material. The park featured <br />playground and picnic areas, <br />walking paths, a ball field with <br />soccer field overlay, parking, <br />plaza space and picnic shelters, <br />in addition to fitness stations, a <br />restroom, lighting and signage. <br />Bryce Hanes Park, Riverside, <br />California <br />Jon provided the Irrigation design <br />for the construction documents of <br />two -acre Bryce Hanes Park in San <br />Bernardino. The park is located on <br />a busy corner in an underserved <br />neighborhood and includes <br />many of the elements identified <br />throughout the community <br />input process, such as a water <br />'sprayground', a skate park, <br />soccer field, open space play, <br />picnic areas, a basketball court, <br />signage, fitness area, a restroom, <br />art in public places, and parking. <br />Ovrom Park,.Burbank, <br />California <br />Jon provided irrigation design <br />for a mixed use site in the City <br />of Burbank that includes a <br />community center and urban park. <br />This small urban space and the <br />many uses it provides was the <br />site's greatest design challenge. <br />The park includes a basketball <br />court, play areas, picnic shelters, <br />picnic tables, open turf area, <br />restroom building and an informal, <br />passive, garden area. <br />Marshall Community Park, San <br />Gabriel, California <br />Jon provided irrigation design for <br />a 2.4 -acre park that incorporated <br />sustainable features such as a <br />synthetic turf sports field,_ drought <br />tolerant plant material, 'Smart <br />Irrigation' equipment for water <br />conservation, and recycled <br />materials for paving and site <br />furnishings, while still maintaining <br />state -required standards for <br />elementary school outdoor <br />play. The site featuresinclude <br />many active arrtenities such as <br />playground and picnic areas, <br />walking paths, a baseball/softball <br />field with soccer field overlay, a <br />basketball court, a handball court, <br />standard school ground court <br />activities, and fitness stations. <br />The passive amenities include an <br />educational demonstration garden, <br />picnic shelters, a restroom, lighting <br />and. signage, decorative fencing, <br />an educational/community history <br />mural wall, on -street parking and <br />new street frontage landscape. <br />Gene Autry Trail Park and <br />Gateway, Palm Springs, <br />California, <br />Jon provided irrigation design <br />for the Gene Autry Trail Gateway <br />project. The project consists of <br />landscape improvements to the <br />parkways and median on Gene <br />Autry Trail north of Vista Chino as <br />well as the development of a 1.7 - <br />acre passive park. <br />David Evans and Associates,.
