City of Santa Ana �• <br />, <br />Quality Of Life Team � T_ <br />Community Concerns_ <br />Over the last several years the City of Santa Ana has received an.ingeasednumber of quality of life -related <br />complaints.The majority of these concerns relate to muni�ipahcodeuiolations,property storage and <br />improper uses of public and .private property.The City has utilizedvar'ious rpechanisms to address these <br />concerns. ` � - � � �; � `, ' ` - � •• � ` _ ' <br />Our New Team: ,�•• r • � - - -, - . + , <br />To increase efficiencies and enhancecustomer service, amulti=disciplinary team consisting ofuarious City of <br />Santa Ana, departrrrents aria non-government groups hav'ejoined'tdgetherto aeafethe Quality. Of Life Team <br />(Q.O.LT.).•The 30 -day pilot Quality Of LifeTeam was`formed in late Januaryof 2018to address Theconcerns. <br />The formation of the'Q.O.LT. has both. increased efficiency in addressing quality ofrife ,issues and improved <br />• <br />is s <br />response times_ -- <br />Who We Are: <br />Thismulti-disciplinaryteam iscomprised -of City staff from the,following City departments: Santa Ana Police <br />Department, Parkland Recreation, Puhlic,Works, Community Development, Community Preservation, City <br />Attorney, City Manager, and a representative from the County of Orange Mental Health.The process of <br />bringing all stakeholders together in the field is modeled on best practices utilized by several. cities <br />throughout the Country -During the first week of the program, the team was trained by the City Attorney and <br />Police,Department.They responded to locations identified by the City Council and community,The team will <br />respond to concerns of city residents and businesses regarding health and safety issues throughout the City. <br />Objectives <br />• Increase efficiency in addressing quality of life issues through partnerships <br />• Increase response time in which certain quality of life issues are addressed <br />• Evaluate outreach efforts <br />From January 2018 to June 2018 (week 23).
