estimates, contract change orders, as -built drawings, and attending weekly meeting & tracking <br />construction schedules. <br />Bastanchury Road I City of Yorba Linda 12017: This project involved the Installation of two <br />intersections of new traffic signal poles and head, traffic loops, Interconnect communication <br />conduit, construction of new horse trail fencing, sidewalk and handicap ramp construction. <br />Interest provided construction management and field inspection services for this very visible <br />and busy arterial. During construction, previously buried traffic signal foundations were <br />discovered leading to discussion of either relocating the new signal poles or removing the old, <br />buried foundations. We opted to resolve the issue by removing the buried foundations and then <br />backfilling and re -drilling the new traffic signal foundations. The cost of this project was $1 <br />Million. <br />Pedestrian Safe Bus Stop Linkage Project on Hawthorne Boulevard j City of Rancho <br />Palos Verdes 12017: interwest provided construction management and inspection services on <br />this project which provided pedestrians with safe access to eleven bus stops on both sides of <br />Hawthorne Boulevard between Crest Road and Palos Verdes Drive. The project consisted of <br />placing approximately 13,000 linear feet of sidewalk and Improvements which required: traffic <br />control, construction survey, removal and replacement of sidewalks, curb and gutter and cross <br />gutters, construction of curb access ramps, asphalt concrete pavement repairs, traffic signs, and <br />adjustments of utilities to grade. Construction began in May 2017 with a budget of $1.3 million. <br />Yorba Linda Boulevard Rehabilitation I City of Yorba Linda 12014: This project consisted of <br />grinding the existing pavement and replacing it with new asphalt concrete pavement as well as <br />restriping over roadway and adjusting the utility boxes. This was an important and high - <br />visibility project for the City because the site Is a traffic -heavy arterial adjacent to one of Yorba <br />Linda's busiest shopping centers. During pre -construction meetings and in speaking with local <br />business -owners while handing out notifications, Interest determined that a majority of the <br />grind and overlay should be performed at night in order to minimize the impact on businesses <br />and the traveling public. We were able to negotiate with contractor to eliminate additional costs <br />for the night work, ensuring that the project was completed within budget while satisfying <br />business owners and the general public. <br />Storm Drain Point Repair Project No. 019816 1 City of Rancho Palos Verdes j 2017: <br />interest was chosen to provide construction management and inspection services for this <br />project, from the pre -construction to project close-out. The project consisted of repairing storm <br />drain systems at six (6) locations with an alternate 7th station within the City. Items for oversight <br />Included the abandoning and removal of existing storm drain, installing new Reinforced <br />Concrete Pipe (RCP), lining of existing Corrugated Metal Pipe (CMP), construction of storm <br />drain structures, and appurtenant storm drain and other site repair items. Our staff ensured that <br />all construction met with local and industry standard requirements. <br />Safe Routes to School Sidewalks Improvement Project I City of Wildomar 12014: Interest <br />was responsible for the design and management of sidewalk and roadway improvements to two <br />existing elementary schools - Wildomar Elementary School and Ronald Reagan Elementary <br />School. Improvements included new sidewalks, handicap -accessible ramps, curb and gutter, <br />and roadway widening along selected routes to each school. The projects were funded by <br />bicycle and pedestrian safety grants. The Wildomar Elementary improvements were <br />approximately 1.5 acres In size and the Ronald Reagan improvements consisted of <br />approximately 0.5 acres. This project involved coordination with the police department and <br />School District to bring to fruition and received extensive coverage in the local news. Interest <br />provided oversight for the City's participation in the WRCOG Transportation Uniform Mitigation <br />Fee (TUMF) Program and assisted the City in evaluating a regional effort to consider TUMF <br />INTERWEST Page 110 <br />CONSULTING GROUP <br />25F-64 <br />
