Environmental m Facilities m Geotechnical n Materials <br />ACM AND LBP SURVEYS I CALTRANS DISTRICT 11, SAN DIEGO/IMPERIAL COUNTIES, <br />CA <br />As QA/QC Manager, ensured quality surveys and reporting was performed on asbestos <br />containing material (ACM) and lead-based paint (LBP) surveys at Caltrans sites throughout San <br />Diego County. ACM surveys conducted by a Certified Asbestos Consultant (CAC) were <br />performed for future construction/renovation purposes on bridges, maintenance and rest stop <br />facilities, and included collection of bulk samples of suspected ACM, sample analysis by <br />polarized light microscopy (PLM), and point count methods, when applicable. Surveys were <br />completed in accordance with Asbestos Hazard Emergency Response Act (AHERA) and <br />National Emission Standards for Hazardous Air Pollutant (NES HAP) methods. LBP surveys <br />conducted by a CDPH-certified lead inspector included collection of samples of suspected LBP <br />material (20+ samples) and analysis of paint samples by flame atomic absorption <br />spectrophotometry, in accordance with USEPA, CDPH, and Cal/OSHA requirements. Reports <br />detailed the location and area estimates of materials that contained ACM and LBP, <br />recommendations for handling and disposal during demolition/refurbishment, and preparation of <br />abatement specifications. Timely and high-quality deliverables helped to keep construction <br />projects on schedule. <br />FIXED -BASED OPERATOR CAMPUS DEVELOPMENT I LANDMARK AVIATION <br />SAN DIEGO INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT, CA <br />Managed and provided environmental oversight for of the redevelopment of this 12.4 -acre <br />property at the San Diego International Airport, which included demolition of existing campus <br />and building of five airplane hangars (116,000 ft2), a terminal building and administration <br />building. The site is located at the former General Dynamics industrial facility which had low <br />levels of soil and groundwater contamination which were subsequently partially remediated after <br />site demolition. Services included performing a Phase I Environmental Site Assessment, <br />hazardous building materials surveys and abatement oversight, environmental monitoring and <br />testing, and vapor intrusion mitigation system design and installation services. By providing <br />experienced and qualified personnel, focused implementation of the project scope on time and <br />within budget, construction activities were maintained on schedule with minimum delays. <br />HAZARDOUS MATERIALS TECHNICAL STUDIES I VARIOUS CLIENTS, USA <br />Lori served as Project and Program Manager. Extensive experience in managing, preparing and <br />reviewing hazardous materials technical studies of large, multi -use properties for planning and <br />engineering firms as part of EIR/EIS projects in accordance with CEQA and NEPA. Industries <br />represented have included aerospace firms, airport and harbor authorities, public utilities, <br />governmental agencies, including redevelopment agencies, manufacturing firms, and real estate <br />developers. Clients have included the San Diego Unified Port District, San Diego County <br />Regional Airport Authority, Centre City Development Corporation, San Diego City Schools, City <br />of San Diego, National City and Chula Vista, Southwest Division Naval Facilities Engineering <br />Command, CALTRANS, and several planning firms, lending institutions, and real estate <br />developers. <br />DUE DILIGENCE REPORTS I CONFIDENTIAL CLIENT, NAPA CALIFORNIA PROJECT <br />As Project Manager/Technical Reviewer, Lori prepared due diligence reports including a Phase <br />I ESA, Hazardous Building Materials Survey and a Regulatory Compliance Audit of this steel <br />fabrication facility. Work was completed on a compressed schedule and results were presented <br />to client and legal team on time and within budget.
