Approve the Project Cost Analysis for a total estimated construction delivery cost of <br />$471,500, which includes the contract bid amount, administration, inspection and testing, and <br />an authorized contingency of $37,720. <br />DISCUSSION <br />Two walkway ramps located on the east and south sections of the Santa Ana Council Chambers <br />at Santa Ana City Hall (Exhibit 1) have been identified for improvement as a result of a recent <br />accessibility assessment. These ramps will be upgraded to be in compliance with the Americans <br />with Disabilities Act (ADA) Title II regulations. The proposed improvements include conventional <br />shallow pad foundation, retaining walls, landscaping, hand rails, lighting, colored textured <br />concrete, and drainage. Once completed, these improvements will provide accessibility to <br />individuals with disabilities and enhance the visual appearance of the surrounding Civic Center <br />area. <br />On May 31, 2018 the Civic Center Authority approved the Civic Center Parking, Maintenance and <br />Special Project budget that includes the re -budgeting of funds for the ADA access ramp. <br />A Notice Inviting Bids was advertised on August 10 and 15, 2018, and bids were opened on <br />September 5, 2018.
