' ;. <br />City of Santa Ana <br />SECTION 4 <br />OPERATIONAL STANDARDS, PROCEDURES <br />AND <br />PERFORMANCE REQUIREMENTS <br />4.1 EMERGENCY RESPONSE COMMUNICATIONS SYSTEM <br />4.1.1 Communications Requirements <br />Contractors must comply with the following requirements concerning the <br />installation, use, operation, and maintenance of their Emergency Response <br />Communications System: <br />A. Emergency Response Communications System must be operated and <br />maintained by Contractor twenty-four (24) hours per day, seven (7) <br />days per week; <br />B. Contractor dispatch centers must be equipped with a secondary, <br />emergency back-up electrical system to insure uninterrupted twenty- <br />four (24) service; and, <br />C. Complete integration of Contractor's dispatch center with OCFA (CAD <br />to CAD) at the Contractor's sole expense is desirable. <br />D. All 9-1-1 Emergency Transport units assigned to the City of Santa Ana <br />must at a minimum be equipped with an 800 MHz communication <br />device that allows communication between OCFA personnel, OCFA <br />dispatch center, and contractor dispatch center. Tier II (Mutual Aid) <br />units must meet same requirements. <br />E. Automatic Vehicle Locator System (AVL) will be required on all 9-1-1 <br />Emergency Transport units at contractor's expense. <br />F.
