The total of all contracts will not exceed $126,346 per year, subject to non -substantive <br />changes approved by the City Manager and City Attorney, with the following vendors: <br />Vendor <br />Location <br />Defense Arms Syndicate <br />Bronx, NY <br />Dooley Enterprises, Inc. <br />Anaheim, CA <br />Miwall Corporation <br />Grass Valley, CA <br />On Target Ammunition, LLC <br />Grain Valley, MO <br />San Diego Police Equipment <br />San Diego, CA <br />The Santa Ana Police Department provides ammunition to its sworn police officers and jail <br />transportation officers, for duty, training and monthly firearms qualification. Officers are required to <br />complete monthly firearms qualifications to maintain proficiency in the use of firearms. <br />Staff completed research in preparation for a new contract and considered the following factors: <br />current ammunition inventory, new weapon systems (Patrol Rifle), ammunition costs, overall <br />department staffing levels and alternative training methods (MILO System). It was determined that <br />by setting up a contract for three -years, this will allow the Police Department to order ammunition <br />on an as -needed basis, providing quality products at a significant savings based on quantity pricing. <br />The notice inviting bids was advertised on November 5, 2018, on the City's online bid management <br />and publication system. Thirteen specific types of ammunition were put out to bid and bidders were <br />provided the estimated annual usage for each type. Vendors were awarded line items by lowest price <br />while meeting the required specification. A summary of the bid invitations and bids received is as <br />follows: <br />22A-1 <br />
