Award a contract to EBS General Engineering, Inc., the lowest responsible bidder, in <br />accordance with the base bid in the amount of $141,240, for the term beginning upon <br />execution of the contract and ending upon project completion, for construction of the <br />Omnibus Concrete Repair Project, and authorize the City Manager and the Clerk of the <br />Council to execute the contract subject to nonsubstantive changes approved by the City <br />Manager and the City Attorney. <br />2. Approve the Project Cost Analysis for a total estimated construction delivery cost of <br />$165,490, which includes the contract bid amount, administration, inspection and testing, and <br />an authorized contingency of $14,125. <br />DISCUSSION <br />The Omnibus Concrete Repair Project will provide for replacement of damaged and deteriorated <br />concrete sidewalk, curbs, gutters, cross gutters, wheelchair ramps, driveways approaches, and <br />other concrete pavement at various locations throughout the city (Exhibit 1 -Map). The work will <br />be performed on an as -needed basis. <br />To provide an opportunity for local vendors to submit bids, the City is now utilizing the PlanetBids <br />web -based system. Through this system, 26 qualified local vendors were notified of the <br />opportunity to bid on this project. <br />A Notice Inviting Bids was advertised on October 15 and 17, 2018.
